"Okay. You can come in now!" Raven yells. We walk in and see a glass of pink liquid.
"Boo!" Raven yells jumping at us as Bellamy holds the glass.
"That's cute." Bellamy says unphased. I can't help but laugh.
"Relax. It needs an accelerant. Gunpowder." I say looking at Raven. "Do we have enough?" I ask. She nods pulling a can out.

"Container of hydrazine goes right in there." She says putting it in. "Put the gunpowder around the hydrazine." She puts a lid on. "Hit the bullseye..." She says drawing an x.
"And bye bye grounders." I say feeling a smile form across my face. This can work.

"It's the rest of our gunpowder we won't be able to make any more bullets."
"Tonight we need a bomb. We can worry about bullets tomorrow." Finn says.
"If we do this and it doesn't work, we'll all be dead tomorrow."
"Then let's make sure it works." I say putting all my trust into a makeshift bomb. No. Putting all my trust into Raven.

"To be safe, you need to be at least 200 feet away to make the shot." Raven says.
"No problem." Bellamy says. "Which one of you plants the bomb?" I don't trust myself on putting the bomb there alone. Knowing me, I feel like I would mess it up.
"I will." Finn hesitates. I almost gasp.
"Won't pick up a gun, but blowing people up, that you're okay with?" I ask.
"We're blowing up a bridge. There's not gonna be any people on it."
"Finn, we have one bomb. We need to use it to kill as many as those bastards as possible."
"They don't know that though." I say. "Because if we only had one why would we waste it on the bridge."
"I'm talking about deterrents, peace through strength."
"The appearance of strength, you mean." Raven corrects him.

"The men who built the a-bomb thought they were peacemakers too. How'd that workout for them?" Bellamy asks. Finn backs up from him and Bellamy turns to me confused. His nose is bleeding. I take a quick step back.
"Shit, Bell. Don't touch anything." I say feeling my heart sink.
"Who else can take a shot?" Finn asks instantly, not even showing empathy for Bellamy. l
"Appreciate the concern. Nova." Bellamy says looking at me. "You got the best aim, I've seen." He says. I nod although I'm suddenly questioning my skills. "Make sure the bomb is packed and ready to go in 10 minutes."

"Let's get you to the dropship." I say to him. We need him inside before something goes wrong.
"Bring Jasper with you." He says. "Jasper! Come here." He calls him.
"Bellamy, you have to rest." I try.
"You need me to go to the bridge with you again?" Jasper asks running over.
"Stay back!" I say quickly, lifting my hand.
"I want you to go with Nova to take the shot. Watch her back out there." He says starting to stumble.
"I will." Jasper says giving me a slight nod.

"Come on, Bell. Please." I say.
"Be ready in 10." He says starting to walk. I watch Bellamy start to fall and without thinking I grab him, using myself to keep him up. "No! You have to make the shot." Bellamy says trying to pull himself away from me, but he's too weak.
"Jasper can make it. I'm staying with you." I say.
"No. You can't get sick." He mutters underneath me.

"Jasper, don't miss." I say to him as I begin to carry Bellamy to the dropship.

He's coughing uncontrollably and I can barely lift him. I feel my knees start to give out. I need to make sure he stays safe.
"Don't just stand there! Someone help her!" Jasper yells.
"No! Everyone stay back! No one else is getting sick." I say to them. "I got you, Bell." I whisper so only he can hear me.

I get him inside the dropship and Octavia runs to my side.
"Bell? No." She says helping me set him down. He starts coughing blood. I turn him on his side trying to not let him choke.

"He needs water!" I yell starting to feel frantic. This is Bellamy Blake. We need him. I need him.
"I'm gonna get you water, okay?" Octavia says to him. She gets up and runs off.
"You're okay." I say to him using the rag to clean up the blood that's not dripping from his mouth.
"I'm scared." He whispers.
"I'm right here, Bell. I'm not going anywhere until you're okay." I say.
"I'm glad you're here." He chokes up. He starts coughing again and I grab his hand, holding it tightly.

Octavia runs over with the water.
"Lift his head." She says as I'm already doing it. She puts the water to his lips and he drinks. I use my fingers to wipe the water that spills down his chin.
"Get some rest, big brother." She says. He nods and looks up to me.
"I'm not leaving." I whisper. I mean it. I'll stay here until he can stand back up on his own. He nods again and closes his eyes.

In a matter of seconds he's asleep.
"Is he going to be okay?" Octavia asks me. I nod.
"I won't let him die, Tay." I say. She smiles to me. Someone else starts coughing and she runs over to them.

I watch Bellamy breathe gently and I try to relax. He looks so innocent and at peace. I've never been so worried about someone before. I don't even know why I am.

After a few hours I feel my eyes start to get heavy. I lay down next to him and let them close.

"Get away from me!" Bellamy yelling wakes me up and I sit up to see Murphy trying to give him water.
"I got this, Murphy. It's okay." I say taking the water from him.

"I didn't mean to wake you." Bellamy says suddenly taking in a soft apologetic voice.
"It's okay. How are you feeling?" I ask handing him the water.
"Better." He says. "It's almost dawn. Everyone should get inside."
"You don't think Finn and Jasper can do it?" Clarke asks overhearing.
"Do you?" He asks looking at her.
"I'll get them inside." She says walking away.

"They'll do it." I say to him.
"It should've been you out there. You could've done it better than anyone. Instead you're here watching me." Bellamy says looking down at the water he's set down next to him. I grab his hand.
"Hey. Bell, I'd rather make sure you're okay." I whisper, the words feel strange to say, yet they feel so right.
"I don't want you getting sick." He says looking back up at me.
"If I were to get sick, I'd be sick by now." I say. I'm not sure if this is completely true, but I hope it is.

"Come on. Let's get everyone inside." Bellamy says sitting up. I help him stand and we walk outside calling people in.

We hear the explosion and look over to see the smoke fly up.
"Told you." I say to Bellamy with a small smirk.
"I am become death, destroyer of worlds." Clarke says. Bellamy and I look at her. "It's Oppenheimer, the man who built the first-."
"We know who Oppenheimer is." I laugh softly.

We wait for them to get back and cheer once they do. I see Finn carrying Raven in.
"I should take care of that." Clarke says following them into the dropship.

Bellamy goes straight to defending the wall and getting guns, even though I tried saying he wasn't done resting.

"What are we gonna do about Murphy?" Bellamy asks me while we stand outside the wall.
"Well he was right about the bridge."
"We'll see."
"And we do need as many men as we can get." I say.
"So we're just forgive what he did?" He asks.
"No, we're not forgiving him. We need him, Bell. I hate it as much as you do." He sighs and we go to a comfortable silence.

"Thank you." He says.
"For?" I ask looking up at him.
"Taking care of me."
"A queen needs the king to be able to rule." I say smiling. He looks at me and smiles. In a sudden motion he grabs the back of my head pressing his lips against mine. It feels like the whole world stops for a moment. This was Bellamy Blake kissing me.

"I think the king needs the queen to survive." He says pulling away. I smile before closing the space between us again.
