"MOMMA ITS COLD OUTSIDE" Nalo hollers as she walks back in the house.

"Girl I know, I don't even know why yall was outside knowing yall needa get dressed." I look at her.

"But momma ion wannaaaaa" She whines.

"Nalo Marie Santos. Now." I stare.

"Okayyyyy" She quickly runs upstairs.

It was thanksgiving day.

Apparently it was our turn to have it at our house.

Sev and the boys went to the store to get everything.

First mistake I've made.

They weren't gonna come back with everything I asked for.

I followed Nalo upstairs to help her get dressed.

"Nalo did daddy give you a bath last night???" I ask her as I look in her closet for something for her to wear.

"Noooo" She says.

"That damn Seven." I mumble and shake my head.

"Okay sweetie ima give you a bath in a second" I tell her.

"Alright mommy" She says as she takes her clothes off.

I finally found her something to wear and I lay it out on her bed.

"Alright pretty girl cmon" I take her hand and lead her in the bathroom.

I give her a bath.

Didn't take me long to get her situated.

Dinner was practically almost ready considering I started cooking 2 days prior.

Last thing I needed to make was baked mac n cheese and the banana pudding.

****A FEW HOURS LATER****

"Hiiii" My mom walks through the door with her husband.

"Hey momma" I hug her.

"Hi Carlyle" I smile and hug him.

"Hey Myah" He smiles and hugs me back.

"Babies maw maw is down stairs" I yell.

"MAW MAW" They run down the steps and run towards us.

"Hey my babies" She smiles as she hugs all three of them.

"Hiiii" Nalo smiles.

"Maw maw tell Nalo to stop bein rude" Zeph says.

"Awll, leave her alone." She shoos them off and laughs.

"HAHA!! SEE" Nalo picks at them.

"Marie stop it." I side eye her.

"Yes ma'ammmm" She responds as she runs to the couch.

After a while everyone finally got here.

Friends.

Family.

Everyone.

It was a nice little humble thanksgiving dinner.

I was kinda glad we hosted it because I knew people would've shown up.

It wouldn't have been so empty.

I was thrilled to see Sevs family and my family together.

It's a great feeling.
