GOTHAM CITY
AUGUST 27

Gotham City was pretty, to say the least. This was Wonder Girl's second visit, but it wasn't her favourite either, not after dipping herself into sewer water along with the team. Batman placed them on a mission to track down a new creature, one that the Dynamic Duo hadn't been able to defeat without dirtying themselves with muck.

Despite the duo's loss, the team managed to track the creature in the sewers and confront it. And the result? The creature fled while they reeked of sewer water as they boarded the Bioship to continue tracking its next move. However, if she showed up at her aunt Hippolyta's feet with her dirty costume, she'd simply laugh and send servants to clean her up.

Now she wonders if Diana had gone through the same at some point.

Kid Flash audibly sighs, joining the rest of the team at the Bioship's cockpit. Ruffling his ginger hair, "Man, I need a shower..." he muttered aloud. Just like everyone else, he wasn't fond of being covered with dirt and reeking of garbage. "For the first time, I agree with you, Wally," Wonder Girl replied, her face scrunching in disgust as she pulled a speck of muck from her hair, letting it down. "I envy Artemis, not having to be covered in all this... goo."

She grimaced in disgust, "I mean what's the point of putting on a clean costume-when I'm not... fresh?" The speedster wonders, rubbing his face, "Oh, Wally, you're always fresh." Miss Martian answers truthfully.

Kid Flash and Robin had changed into their spare costumes, Miss Martian could simply shift into her regular costume while Aqualad could've easily cleaned the dirt from his costume. Leaving the Amazon and Kryptonian clone without a spare; the former regrets the idea of being unprepared.

Frowning, the Amazon flicks the clay covering her symbol, cleaning it up as it shows her symbol once more. "At least you have a clean costume." She heard Superboy say, looking at himself as he was still covered in dirt from the fight with the creature. "Yeah, an old backup!" Kid says, tapping his chest before groaning, "No stealth mode? This stinks!"

"Actually, I think the stink is you, freshness." Robin comments, looking at Kid, "But what about the creature?" The Boy Wonder questioned as the team huddled amongst themselves in the Bioship. However, Aqualad's absence was evident. "Batman wanted us to track it." Robin recalled, "But why settle for that? Okay, sure, it got the drop on us," the speedster added, "But now we know its tracks!"

"Yeah!" The raven-haired hero agreed, "We split up! Then whoever finds old 'Clayface' radios the team," Robin explains the elaborate plan. Superboy grinned, "We converge and kick some clay-butt!" He says, agreeing to the plan. "I hope that helps with lessening our chances of getting slathered with muck," Wonder Girl hopefully says.

"What do you think, Aqualad?" Miss Martian quizzes. Instantly, the team turns to their leader, sitting in his own world before being called out.

"What?" He quickly asks, sitting up, "Oh, yes... it seems we have a plan."

While she and the others continued searching, she overheard Superboy's message. He'd sent coordinates of his location, claiming Clayface had been there. Luckily for her, it was an easy find, a block or two away from the warehouse's location as she took her lasso from her hip and cautiously walked into the warehouse.

She closes her eyes, inhaling as she senses her teammate's heartbeat. While Superboy could hear heartbeats, she could sense those she was familiar with. With the past few missions, she'd managed to grow familiar with her teammate's heartbeats, perhaps it was the closeness that stemmed from regularly visiting the cave while most of the team had been around. To her, it's like seeing colours, although, M'gann's and Kaldur's were rather harder to distinguish.
