MOUNT JUSTICE
SEPTEMBER 23

Arriving at the cave with her cousin was interesting, to say the least, after a late-night run-in with Cheetah back in Washington. Upon her arrival, a few League members were responsible for tightening the cave's security after a last-night break-in. Nirvana didn't necessarily want to ask about what happened the night before, especially since the atmosphere had gotten tense.

The team had been seated in the mission chamber, accompanied by Black Canary, Green Arrow and Wonder Woman. She hears the bowl clink on the table, finding a bowl filled with pretzels, "Thanks... but no, thanks," Wally answered, uninterested in the sight of snacks.

"Yeah, what we want are answers about Red Tornado and his siblings," Robin states, seemingly voicing everyone's thoughts; except hers. "Exactly!" Wally agreed before Green Arrow tried to take the bowl of snacks away, only for Wally to take it back, "Leave the bowl." He says before munching on the pretzels.

Beside her was M'gann as she tapped her shoulder, "Hey, what happened last night?" Nirvana quietly asked, trying not to spark another conversation with the adults in the room. "Red Tornado's siblings invaded the cave," the Martian answered, murmuring as if her friend had brought up a controversial topic. "We all almost died," she quickly added as Nirvana nodded, unsure of what to say before asking her about her wellbeing.

"You knew?!" Conner exclaimed, confronting Kaldur as Nirvana jumped at the sudden yell. "That android and his maniac family nearly killed M'gann!"

Nirvana notices M'gann instantly flying out of her seat, "Conner, what are you doing?" She questioned, concerned at the sudden confrontation, "Kaldur knew we had a traitor among us and said nothing!" Conner informed as the rest of the team walked towards the commotion.

"You knew?" Asked Robin.

"And you didn't tell us?" Wally continued, "I sought to protect the team from—" Kaldur tried to say as Artemis stepped forward, "Protect us from what? Knowledge that might have saved our lives?"

"Maybe Kaldur was going to tell us sooner or later about the so-called traitor, don't pin it on him," Nirvana stated, standing behind the rest of them as everyone's anger was still locked on the Atlantean, "M'gann almost died!" Conner yelled.

"Enough." Batman says, standing behind her as she turns, "With Red Tornado missing, the team will now be overseen by rotating supervisors." He announced, "Captain Marvel has volunteered to take the first shift." Batman continued as the League member joined them with a thin-lipped smile.

"I'm really looking forward to hanging with you guys," Captain Marvel smiled.

Despite the team's wary glances, Nirvana stands still, her arms crossed over her chest. "After I dismantle Red Tornado, you and I are gonna—" she overheard Conner mutter as she watched Batman walk towards the team, "Red Tornado is a member of the Justice League. That makes him a League responsibility. You will leave him to us." Batman firmly stated.

"I have another assignment for this team." He says, pulling various news headlines as it showed the mayor of Gotham City injured.

"'Gotham Mayor attacked by Guerilla Gorilla'?" Wally read aloud, "Batman, please tell me you're not sending us on this joke of a wild ape chase." Robin yelled as his mentor's gaze hardened, "I never joke about the mission." He emphasized, "I've checked the sources. I've studied the patterns. Mayor Hill's encounter is only the latest in a series of incidents."
