BIALYA
SEPTEMBER 4

Groaning, she wakes up with a headache. The ringing in her ears dissipated as she looked at her surroundings, hearing an engine in the distance. There were no buildings or roads around her--just sand and mountains.

"Wonder Girl?"

Squinting at the sound of a familiar voice, she looks up, the figure blocking the sunlight. She first notices the symbol on their chest, the gears slowly working in her fuzzy head. "Robin?" Her voice sounded hoarse like she hadn't spoken for quite some time, and judging by where she was, she wasn't sure if that assumption was true.

"Where's Batman?" She questioned, her eyebrows furrowed in confusion, suddenly sitting up, "Wonder Woman?" She asked, looking for her cousin as Robin offered his gloved hand, helping her up. "OK, calm down," Robin starts, his calm tone contrasting her panicked one, before activating his computer and showing her their location.

Bialya.

Despite her first question answered, she couldn't help but feel more confused, "What-what are we doing in Bialya?" She quizzed, looking down at the younger hero. He shrugged, "I don't know," he mutters truthfully, falling silent as Wonder Girl's head begins to clear. Holding her temple, "Wait, do you remember anything?"

Robin sighed, "No, but I do remember Batman saying 'radio silence'," he recalled, clarifying it was a fuzzy memory, "But I think we lost our memories," he added, showing her his computer screen again. Pointing to the date, "See?" He says, "It says September, but I don't remember anything since March."

Suspiciously, Wonder Girl eyes the Boy Wonder, "You could've easily changed the date and fooled me."

"But I can't fake the fact we're stuck in Bialya with no memory," he quickly answered as she hummed. "Wait," she starts, "How do you know about Batman asking for radio silence?" She asked while they hid within a mountain gap. "Bialyan soldiers passed by and I was about to radio Batman until I recalled what he told me," Robin explained as she suddenly felt a memory flash in her head with no recollection.

"He told me that too," she murmured, "Are we on a mission together?"

"Possibly," he hummed. "Although I placed a marker somewhere around here, I don't remember why," he states, walking further into the gap before stopping at the sight of a piece of fabric hanging onto a rock. He took the fabric with him as he wondered what it was, showing it to her. Seeing the red S symbol caused Wonder Girl to stare at it in confusion, "Superman is here?" She quickly asked, "In Bialya?"

"I don't think that's Superman..."

The moon shined on the sandy dunes as the sun had set hours ago. The heroic duo had managed to escape a troop of Bialyan soldiers as they followed the beeping light on Robin's computer, venturing into the desert.

"Wish I could remember why I put a GPS marker here." He says, the two of them running to its location before spotting a machine in the middle. Quickly, Robin ducks to hide, pulling Wonder Girl along with him. "The machine seems important for you to place a tracker," she commented as he peered over their hiding spot, looking for any intruders.

"Coast is clear," he mutters, leaping over before Wonder Girl can understand the plan--if they even had one at least. However, upon following him, soldiers emerge from their hiding spots in the sand, around the strange machine. Speaking a language she couldn't understand as their words flew from one ear to the other, Robin dropped a smoke bomb.
