Sailub went upstairs in a hurry.

Upon asking the service staff, he came to know that Pon had returned to his room and quickly followed suit.

Fortunately, Pon was not angry enough to lock the room.

Sailub took a deep breath and swiped his card to open the door.

There was a mess on the carpet; the scattered chips and Xia Tian’s baseball jacket.

It wasn’t difficult to imagine the scene where Pon entered the room with anger.

Sailub looked at the bargaining chips that were all over the floor and smiled helplessly.

It seemed like the way he smashed the cue stick in front of him just now was restrained.

He proceeded to close the door, picked up Pon’s clothes, and put them on the sofa.

He looked around the living room and walked to the bedroom.

In the bedroom, Pon had his back toward the door, sitting on the bay window and looking outside through the glass wall.

The sound of just opening and closing the door was not soft. Sailub was sure that Pon heard him coming in.

This meant that he should be allowed to approach.

Sailub took a few steps closer and noticed that his shoulders were trembling.

Pon quickly raised his arm and wiped his eyes with his wrist.

Sailub felt a pain in his heart.

“Don’t you want the chips you’ve won?”  Sailub turned around and went out of the bedroom, went to the living room and picked up the chips that Pon had thrown all over the floor.

He moved very slowly, giving Pon enough time to react.

After tidying up the living room, Sailub walked into the bedroom and sat next to him.

Pon’s eyes were still red. He pressed his lips tightly and looked out the window without speaking.

Sailub said softly, “I’m sorry.”

“Why did you ask them…”

Pon’s voice was uncontrollable with a bit of crying. He turned his head irritably.

Angry with Sailub and frustrated with himself, he simply gritted his teeth.

Sailub was silent for a moment and said, “After I told you that I would come here to play, I asked someone to contact the person named Michael.”

“I don’t know what went wrong in the middle, but the person who sent the message didn’t explain the matter clearly which made Michael mistakenly believe that I was bringing some messy people over. That’s why those people were present just now.”

Pon was slightly startled.

Sailub’s tone was calm. “If he’d known that you would come, Michael wouldn’t have dared to make trouble like this, no matter how bold he was.”

“I’m not trying to find excuses for myself. Making you angry, it’s my fault.” Sailub gently held Pon’s hand and said, “At that time, I asked you to accompany me to gamble in order to…”

At this moment, it was not possible to mention the car gift.

If he did, even he would feel that he had decided this on the spot, in order to calm Pon’s anger.

He made up a reason to give him the car to appease him.

Sailub didn’t want Pon to misunderstand again, so he paused and changed his words. “It was to make you happy. Meeting those people… I was much more surprised than you.”
