Alastor strolled along the street, choosing to ignore the empathetic gazes he occasionally encountered from people.

It had been over a month since your passing. Alastor had reported you as missing, and with the knife Frank used to kill you, he plotted that near an alleyway where the police would find it to indicate you were indeed dead without having to find a body and made up a story that you were coming back from the shops when you never returned home.

As Alastor entered the radio station, it served as his sole diversion before returning home to a quiet existence devoid of emotional expression.

"Good morning, Alastor." The secretary greeted him with a soft smile.

Alastor just gave a slight nod of acknowledgement before continuing to his booth.

Sitting down, Alastor let out a sigh of resignation, gently rubbing his face with his hands as he slouched in his chair. He had only 10 minutes before he had to go on air.

Removing his hands from his face, his eyes slowly fell to the picture of you two.

His heart felt a profound sense of sorrow within his chest. For 28 years, you had been an integral part of his life, and now he found himself utterly bewildered and adrift.

"Alastor?"

Alastor was abruptly drawn out of his reverie when he realised he had been fixated on the image for a considerable ten minutes.

Alastor turned his gaze towards one of his employees as they informed the radio host he would be going live in one minute.

"Thanks." Was all Alastor mumbled, grabbing his headset.

Following his afternoon broadcast, Alastor returned to his home with a heavy heart. He felt emotionally drained and devoid of any enthusiasm, knowing that he would not be greeted with the warmth and affection by you.

With little to no energy, Alastor gently placed his body against the door, causing it to open. He let everything fall to the ground, not bothering to put it away.

Alastor made his way to the cupboard, intending to retrieve a bottle of whiskey and a glass for a drink.

However, his plans were interrupted by an unexpected knock, causing him to furrow his brow in curiosity. He wondered who could be at the door at this hour.

Approaching the door with his glass in hand, Alastor opened it to find Lizzy standing there.

"Lizzy?" Alastor furrowed his brow and stepped away from the door as she entered without invitation.
