Chapter 96 - I'm The Bad Guy

"I must say, the situation has taken an unexpected turn, hasn't it?" Lilith remarked with a hint of amusement. Your hands involuntarily clenched into fists, betraying your inner turmoil.

Charlie appeared to be terrified, while Lucifer seemed somewhat anxious.

Your angel form had come out from the fueled up anger. "Get your filthy chains off my husband," you cautioned without realising the ominous undertone in your voice.

"Toots..." Angel placed a hand on your shoulder from behind. "Think clearly about this..." He warned.

Husk picked up (D/N), not letting her witness what was about to unfold.

"That's right... Your fearless overlord here made a deal with me. Under all that fake smile and the oh so scary overlord he makes himself out to be, he made a deal. For his soul... to get into heaven. Oh, how he begged to see his dead wife up there. It was pathetic. But knowing his status down here, I couldn't say no." The glow intensified on the chain, causing him to display a pained expression as his ears flattened.

"What's.... what's going on?" Charlie asked, looking between you, Lucifer, and Lilith.

"Your mother here has been threatening my family." You growled. "She has been taunting me, making Alastor do things. If he does not act to them, she threatened to destroy his soul. She made him impregnate me to use our child to take over heaven. Something you have been working so hard on to redeem souls down here, Charlie."

Charlie took a step away from her mother. "Alastor also had another choice. Lute wanted Lilith here to destroy your hotel, so she made Alastor do her dirty work. But Alastor backed out, which is why your darling mother is here, not to see you. But to make sure your hotel was done for and she had a chance to take over heaven, to kill your family."

The silence was deafening.

"Secret out, Lilith, now let go of my husband!" You demanded.

"You filthy piece of-"

"MOTHER!" Charlie yelled, making Lilith look at her, Charlie eyes were filled with tears. "Is this true?" Her voice cracked.

"Oh sweetheart..."

"No! Don't sweetheart me, is that why Alastor here? You sent him here... to -" Charlie glanced at Alastor, who averted his gaze, sensing her sense of betrayal.

She then looked to her father. "Did you know?"

"Only for a few weeks, Charlotte... I promised (Y/N) to keep it a secret and to... help her..."

Your gaze never fell from Lilith.

"(Y/N)?" Charlie whispered. "I did it to protect my family, something you would do, Charlie. I wasn't gonna let your mother harm my daughter and kill my husband."

"You were gonna harm my goddaughter?" Charlie said in astonishment to her mother.

"She's an abomination child, a child that should not have been conceived!" She spat. Husk covered her ears growling at that.

"And yet you made them conceive another one?!" She shot back.

That made you laugh softly as everyone looked at you.

"I'm not actually pregnant. That was a lie to give us time." You said with a smile.

Lilith's grip tightened on Alastor's chains.

"She also intentionally prevented you from seeing your father!" You added promptly.

"Lucifer was battling depression and your mother saw it as weakness. That's why he was absent in your life. He wanted to be there for you, Charlie. But Lilith hated how you were like him. A dreamer."

"Don't listen to her!" Lilith chuckled, looking to her daughter.

"I would never lie, Charlie, you know that! You needed answers, and you're getting them!"

The bickering between you both was going back and forth as Charlie looked between you both confused.

"Charlie... you've only known her for what? A year or two?" Her grip loosened on the chain as she put a reassuring hand on her daughter shoulder.

Lilith was distracted as Lucifer gave you the signal.

"Charlie... my dear I-"

Quickly, you grasp the chains.

Lilith's gaze met yours as your eyes connected.

"Fuck you." You spat as you sent a forceful kick to her abdomen sending her flying back as a scream emitted from her crashing into the walls.

The chains were now in your possession, the purple aura dissipating as they now emitted a golden glow.

Alastor could sense the transfer of ownership of his soul as your eyes glowed gold.

"Darling..." Alastor stated with bated breath as you gradually moved your face closer to his.

"You... are... mine." You whispered gently, your lips nearly meeting.

For the first time, Alastor experienced a mix of excitement and fear in your presence.

"Oh my... how is that... how is that possible?" Charlie softly said.

"(Y/N)... you...." Charlie was loss for words.

You released the chains, causing him to rise.

Lilith let out a sudden shriek as she ascended into the air. "I'm gonna kill you and burn this hotel to the ground!"

With your cane in hand, you took a step forward. "Bring it." You snarled.

Everyone stood behind you, offering their support.

Lilith noticed this display of unity as she laughed at that, Lucifer pulling his daughter behind him, glaring at his ex-wife.

"Oh you fools. I will get what I want. I always do." She vowed.

"I will come for you (Y/N) let that be a warning. I... will kill you." She snarled before disappearing.

For the first time, it felt as if you could finally take a deep breath as you gradually turned around to face everyone. A complex blend of emotions surged within you, leaving you uncertain of how to proceed.

Your attention was drawn to Alastor, and you could perceive his evident embarrassment and anger as a result of her actions toward him as he suddenly walked away.

"(Y/N)-"

"I need to speak to my husband for now... Lucifer, can you... catch Charlie up?" You asked.

"Certainly," he said softly as he led his daughter away for a private discussion.

You took a moment to gather your thoughts before finding Alastor.
