Phayu brought Rain and Fort into another room, the atmosphere was thick with tension. Rain still feeling dizzy and disoriented about everything that's happening, he struggled to make sense of the situation. This was worse than any nightmare he had ever had about Phayu. In his dreams, at least Phayu still loved him. But now, the empty gaze Phayu directed at him was cold, out of the love they once shared. Was their love fake? Was it all in his mind? Were the two years they spent together meaningless?

Rain felt like fainting again thinking of that, overwhelmed by the realization of the possibility to never have phayu again. Fort held him up, guiding him in the room to sit on the bed. Fort, recognized Phayu from Rain's pictures, he could feel his friend's pain.

"You're a son of a bitch, you piece of shit," Fort spat and turn, his anger boiling over. He lunged at Phayu, but Phayu effortlessly blocked his punch.

"Easy" Phayu said coldly, "I'm not here to fight you."

"What do you want then?" Fort demanded. "You're a gangster, you don't deserve my friend."

"Incorrect. We're part of the mafia, not gangsters. There's a difference," Phayu replied, his tone icy. Rain's mind was a whirl of confusion and disbelief. This was not the Phayu he knew. He thought back to their jokes about having a mafia husband but this was not what he had envisioned.

"Wait" Rain said, trying to stand up and facing Phayu directly. "You left me so you could stay here, being in the mafia and doing dirty work?" His voice trembled with emotion.

Phayu studied Rain up and down, his expression still unreadable. "Do we know each other?" he asked raising an eyebrow, his words cutting Rain like a knife.

Rain gasped, the hurt was evident in his eyes. "What the heck is going on Phayu? It's me, Rain. Your first love, the one you promised to love forever. Tell me you're joking."

Phayu remained silent for a moment, then said "I don't remember you."

Rain fell back onto the bed again, his whole body shaking with tears rolling on his cheeks. Phayu knelt in front of him, his gaze softening slightly. "But I feel something strange when I look at you. Can you please tell me more about what happened between us?" he asked, a hint of curiosity in his voice.

Just as Rain was about to speak, Pakin entered the room. "Enough, Phayu. Get out."

"Wait, Dad. Give me a minute," Phayu protested.

"You've already used your time. You have nothing to do with that boy. He abandoned you in your critical state when you needed him" Pakin said coldly.

Phayu turned to his father, confusion and anger flashing in his eyes. "What?"

Rain's mouth fell open. "Why the hell are you lying? Now I understand something really bad happened to phayu. Did he lose his memory? Don't lie Mr Pakin. You chased me away and said I wasn't worth his love. I never left him" Rain shouted, desperation in his voice. "Don't believe him Phayu. I never stopped loving you, i never stopped searching for you and wished to meet you again...never."

"Enough" Pakin's voice cut through the air. "Phayu, Get out. You can think of what you want kid, work with us or we should kill you."

The last words made Phayu's blood boil. "Dad, don't even think about it," he growled.

"I told you this boy is not what you think he is. See how smart he is? He'll manipulate you and throw you away just as he did before when you were dying in that hospital bed in coma and partially lost your memory. He was happy at least you wouldn't remember him."

Phayu clenched his jaw, feeling his father's lies, he no longer trust hid father since that incident. Rain's eyes widened in shock hearing pakin words, he was too exhausted to fight or explain himself, he just stayed there quiet.
