Phayu took a deep breath as he entered the familiar living room of his childhood house, each step feeling heavier as he neared the place where so many painful memories were made. The room looked almost exactly the same as it did before leaving, a stark reminder of the life he was trying to leave behind him.

His brother Saifa walked beside him, offering silent support. Saifa has been the type of kid who didn't have enough on his shoulder, he was, and is the type of just living his life without worrying about anything else. Pakin was more strict and harsh with phayu than him, maybe because he saw some potential in him as his successor.

Rain's words echoed in Phayu's mind, giving him the strength he needed to face his father one last time. He had already confronted his father once, but that time was different. This time, he sought closure, a final conversation to help him move forward and leave the hurtful past behind.

They reached the door to his father's study, the place where Pakin had spent countless hours managing his empire, and where he still spends his time, maybe for the memories or remorse. Phayu hesitated for a moment, steeling himself before pushing the door open.

Inside, Pakin sat at his desk, looking older and more tired than Phayu remembered. The once powerful man now seemed diminished, a shadow of his former self.

Pakin looked up as they entered, his eyes meeting Phayu's. There was a moment of silence, the weight of unspoken words hanging heavy in the air.

"Father" Phayu began, his voice steady despite the turmoil inside him, he couldn't even say dad. "We need to talk."

Pakin nodded, gesturing for Phayu and Saifa to sit. Phayu took a seat, his brother standing behind him in silent.

"You look good and healthy I'm happy, how is things going on? I saw you on the news" Pakin tried to make the conversation normal.

"I'm not here to talk about business" Phayu replied sharply. Pakin stayed quiet to listen to him, phayu seems to have a lot to say, he might let him pour his heart out.

"I know we've talked about this before," Phayu continued, "but I need to understand why. Why did you do all those things? Why did you put us through so much pain? We were a perfect family, then suddenly everything changed. You were the mafia leader Pakin even with your own family"

Pakin sighed deeply, running a hand through his thinning hair. "I thought I was doing what was best for me and the family" he said quietly. "I wanted to secure our future as i said before, to give you, your brother and sister everything you could ever want without worrying about money or work. But I see now that I was wrong, my technics was wrong. I lost sight of what truly mattered."

Phayu's fists clenched, but he forced himself to stay calm. "You hurt us, destroyed our family" he said, his voice cracking slightly. "You hurt us in ways that money can't fix. Mom is gone because of you, I don't know if I can ever forgive you for that."

Pakin's eyes filled with regret. "I know" he said. "I can't undo the past. All I can do is tell you now how sorry I am, i regret all that. I hope that someday, all of you can find peace in your heart to forgive me."

Phayu took a deep breath, feeling a mixture of anger and sadness. "I don't know if I can forgive you, you put my life in danger as if i didn't value anything to you" he said remembering his dark life in europe.

"I'm sorry, I was just overconfident about you, your abilities, i didn't think things could have turned that way" Pakin replied, regret evident in his eyes.

"What about what you did to rain, to us, our relationship? His father? Not only you fucked up our family but his too. Do you know how i feel leaving with him knowing the same blood in my veins killed his father leaving his mom and him on the street, what if he never understood and left me" phayu's fist clenched more, his nails digging his palms.
