The REAL rookie ( The Rookie TV Show )

-1- the beginning

She woke up to the light illuminating in her face from the window, groaning she sat on the bed

" what time is it ? " she thought to herself . She was feeling really tired since she didn't sleep well last night . And then it hit her .

It is her first day of working on patrol . Olivia , her name was , graduated from the police academy last month and is going to start work today as a rookie at the Los Angeles police department .

As soon as she remembered she jumped out of her bed and went to her closet to change her clothes . She picked a white T-shirt with a jeans jacket and a pair of jeans . She reached for her phone to call an uber since her car broke down yesterday .

While waiting for the uber , she made some toast and ate it in silence thinking what would happen on the first day of the job . After she arrived she went to change into her uniform .

After she headed to the ladies' lockers and changed into her long sleeved uniform , she headed to the roll call room .

Before she entered the glass room she was stopped by a gentle hand on her shoulder . When she snapped her head towards the person she saw a woman in her 30s .

The dark haired and brown eyed woman introduced herself as officer Lopez " Rookies should go to the captain's office before their first meeting . Its tradition "

After thanking her and giving her biggest smile , Olivia went to the captain's room . She knocked on the door three times and when she heard a small " come in " , she came in .

Olivia was met with a woman she assumed was captain Andersen because of what she has red on the file .

" Hello I'm captain Andersen and I assume you are officer Smith ?"
She asked

" Hello ma'am, yes im officer Smith and I'm happy to finally have the honor to meet you in person" Olivia said feeling confident, having the hope that she gave a good first impression and smiled widely .

Olivia always smiled , even when she is hurt , it is sad to see an unhappy face on her .

The captain smiled " likewise " she said " and I wanted to say that each officer start his day here by meeting sergeant Grey in roll call downstairs, because he will tell you who your training officer will be and will give some advice for the day . "

It is the first time that Olivia was stressed out like this , and she tried to hid her nervousness, " what if I didn't fit in ? What if my T.O. was evil ? What if I made a lot of mistakes ? What If I made a fool out of myself ? " she thought

The captain dismissed her and after she stepped a foot out of her office , she practically ran to the roll call room fearing that she will be late .

Stepping into the room she was met by her fellow 3 rookies , she didn't need to introduce herself or get introduced . She already met John , Lucy and Jackson at the academy .

After having a nice chat with them and laughing about their nervousness . The room filled with police officers and when a man showed up all of them took seats and she sat in the front row with the other rookies .

" Good morning everyone , today we have some new blood in the department and some of them reaching the expiration date . Officer Chen , officer Nolan , officer Smith and officer West . " Sergeant Grey said while he earned some chuckles from other officers .

" Now , let's do the T.O. game . It is putting a T.O. to each rookie . "
I hold my breath , feeling like my lungs are not working right with each word he says.

" Let's start with the oldest , officer Nolan , you get officer Bishop , Officer Chen you get Officer Alam , officer West you get officer Lopez and finally Officer Smith you get officer Bradford "

After he assigned us each rookie looked back at the officers hoping that they got a good T.O. that can help them train and Olivia smiled because she heard that T.O. was one of the bests .

" Now " Sergeant Grey continued , " I want to get things clear , each rookie will do as his T.O. says , remember being a police officer is a near death wish and your T.O. can place a blue page on your file , clear ? "

After some mumbles of agreement , and the Sergeant dismissed everyone to get on patrol , Olivia went to Officer Bradford .

" Hello sir , I'm officer Olivia Smith and it is an honor to have you as my T.O. " Olivia said and placed her hand for him to shake while smiling respectively .

" Get ready , boot , and i need to show you how to get gears before we get on patrol " he said completely ignoring Olivia's still extended hand .

Officer Bradford got two bags that held some tickets , extra guns , etc and two shotguns for her to place in the trunk of their shop that awaited for them to get to work .

Sitting in the passenger's seat she asked her T.O. how is he feeling having her as his rookie .

" Look officer Smith , I am here to make sure that you get the training you need not chit chat with you and believe me , you don't want to be on my mind as because I will make sure to turn your life a living hell " he barked at her .

" Well that's going to be a hell of a day " Olivia thought to herself .

Well that was a first chapter . I can't actually write every line as it is since I obviously don't memorise each line in the film but I try my best .
