-29- Patrolling

3rd person's P.O.V.

The only thing that kept Olivia focus was the time limit that sat on her full desk .

L.A.P.D. workers found out that the time that they take while doing paperwork is a lot . So their captain stepped in and decided to make cops have time limit for their paperwork .

" This is ridiculous . " She muttered . Her rule wasn't working out well for herself .

Eventually , she managed to get it on time . But captains , they have paperworks as work , literally everything is paperwork .

Her hands were getting damaged as each day passes from writing paperworks to correcting ones .

Just then , an idea popped up in her head . She called Sergeant Grey to talk to him .

" Captain , what is it . " He said calmly . " Sergeant Grey , I'm going patrolling today , prepare your officers . "

And with that , she hung up the phone . Olivia went out of her glass office and descended down the stairs , heading to the place officers get their gears from .

" One uniform , my size . " She informed the person that works on the gears .

After she got her request , Olivia headed to the ladies' lockers and searched for a private place to change her clothes in .

As she started heading to the the in her uniform , she was met by a chatting Nyla and Lucy coming in .

When they saw her , they stopped talking . Their captain ignored them and passed through the door .

She arrived at the sergeant's office and knocked once before getting in , not waiting for him to respond .

" Captain , how can I help you , since roll call is in 5 minutes ." He asked while checking his watch .

" Change of plans . I'll be patrolling alone . " Olivia said and got out of the room .

Her way to the roll call while wearing uniform earned some eyes . They all thought that their captain would be patrolling with someone for the day .

Officers filled the room as their captain was on the phone near the podium , waiting for the Sergeant .

Everybody seated as Olivia told them to . Three seconds later , the man everyone was waiting for arrived .

" Today , Captain Smith decided to patrol in the streets . She would be alone . Be safe out there . " He signaled for everyone to get out .

A shop awaited the highest ranked person that was currently in the building .

Before she went to the car , Olivia got a her gear and examined its contents before heading to the shop .

She also made sure to bring a sniper that she felt was a good one to bring for the day .

Smith buckled her seatbelt and got ready to go , muting her cell phone so that their was no kind of distraction ahead the ride .

" 7-adam-19 , requesting backup to ... street , code 3 , suspects armed . " someone radioed in .

" 7-adam-1 , copy that , en route , 3 minutes . " That call from the radio earned Olivia to accept the call and make a sharp turn to her right while lighting her sirens .

When she arrived at the scene , she saw officer Bradford and Chen firing at three men who are shooting back blindly .

She scoffed , not wanting to deal with the men anymore . Slowly , she searched for a well hidden place that exposes the suspects clearly .

The only place available is the roof on the building nearby . While being cautious , the captain ran up the stairs .

The second she arrived , she held the sniper in her hand and layer it gently on the stone fence that separates someone from falling down .

Looking through the hole , she aimed at the guy that she thought was the best one at firing guns .

Making sure that she got the best aim at his hand , the captain fired .

The guy screamed and fell down , making his mates widening their eyes while looking at him .

This strategy earned the officers down some time to shoot the other suspects .

As the captain went down , she got noticed by the other two officers .

" Did you radio it ? " She asked breathing heavily from walking down the long stairs .

They strangely stayed silent , making the men in their hands cough awkwardly , trying to make the awkwardness less .

" Captain , no but , its just . I haven't had the time to talk to you about , you know . " Lucy said .

Olivia ignored her and walked up to her shop while radioing it and brushed her now messy hair .

Lucy and Tim looked at each other . They knew that the captain knew about their
' relationship ' .

Turns out , Tim and Lucy are in a fake relationship . They are trying to see if their captain still has feelings for Tim .

They are also trying to know if Olivia haven't recovered from her past .

Until know , she hadn't passed the test and is acting like she doesn't care , but in their opinion , she does .

What the officers didn't know is that the captain is trying to move on , and it is working .

Olivia got into the shop and continued her way to the station . She wanted to make sure that she finished the paperwork .

Writing her first page , she decided to finish it later and go to her lunch break .

Her shop was driven by her after she got into it to go to her old lunch break place .

It was open , that only driven Olivia more hungry . Wanting to bite into the juicy , delicious buritto they serve .

The result of her distractions of the smell and her thoughts didn't led her to notice her former officers .

Walking up the truck , she checked the menu , making sure that it was still available and it was .

When she was ordering , she noticed Nyla's eyes on her . That brought her to change her plans of the place that she will eat her buritto in .

The captain payed her buritto's price and started walking towards her shop . But she was stopped .

" Captain Smith . Why don't you come and eat with us ? " Harper's voice was heard from behind .

Olivia turned and examined Nyla's table to find her , Tim , Alex , John , Lucy and Jackson .

Each of them looked towards the way that Nyla was looking at to find their captain .

The captain shook her head muttering ' No ' and returned around to head to her shop .

" You knew she is obviously gonna say no , why did you even ask ? " Alex asked , feeling confused .

Nyla looked at him , the other officers were confused as well since their captain will definitely decline the offer .

" It is always good to have a friend in a place you don't want to , or even feel appreciated . It is important for mental health ."

The captain on the other hand went to the beach . She surprisingly wanted to finish her meal their .

The view of the water and ocean incredible her from 2 years until the very day .

It was fascinated .
