The next day, first period was about to start. I was walking up the corridor with most eyes on me. Everyone was staring and whispering to eachother which kind of bothered me but, what was i supposed to do? I just had to act like i didn't care.

"Clem." A masculine voice called out from my right.

I turned my head and looked, seeing it was Louis who called out for me. He was stood with the whole group, beside a row of lockers.

"Oh, hey, didn't see yous." I said, stopping and turning to them.

None of them responded, all of them just looked at me confused. All except Violet. She was glancing around at them all.

"What happened? Those bruises weren't there yesterday?" Sophie asked, her eyes narrowed slightly.

"Oh, they just formed i don't know." I shrugged, letting my eyes land on Violet for a split second before glancing back at Sophie. "It's just from the fight."

"Bruises don't form randomly." Brody shook her head slightly, looking more worried then confused.

"Did you and Emily get in a fight again?" Marlon asked.

I shook my head. "No they just.. i don't know formed. It's fine, im fine." I shrugged.

Violet shifted her weight, her eyes meeting mine briefly before looking away. She obviously knew, but i could tell she wasn't going to say anything.

"I appreciate you guys worrying and all but nothing happened, im fine." I insisted, trying to sound more convincing.

Louis frowned. "You can tell us if something happened you know."

I forced a smile. "I know but nothing happened." I shrugged.

They still looked skeptical but seemed to accept my answer for now. Violet stayed silent, her gaze occasionally flicking to mine.

"Alright but if anything happens, you let us know, okay?" Brody said, her voice firm.

"Yeah, we can help." Marlon agreed, his concern evident.

"Thanks guys." I said, grateful but really wanting to drop the subject altogether.

"Alright, better head to class." Louis huffed, picking his bag up from his feet.

"Yeah, i'll see y'all later." Brody smiled, backing away.

As the group started to split off into their different ways, heading to class, i did too. But as i was, i copped Violet, lingering behind me, waiting until the group was out of earshot and had their backs turned to catch up to me.

"Why didn't you tell them?" She asked, turning to look at me.

I shrugged. "It's not their problem."

"It is." She said, keeping her eyes on me.

I glanced at her, feeling the familiar tension between us. "How? Why would i bother bringing it up?"

She sighed, looking away for a moment. "Because if Emily thinks she can keep getting away with this, she'll just keep doing it. But i guess you'd rather be the groups punching bag." Looking back, i don't think she realised what she had said.

My anger flared immediately. "Excuse me?" I said, stopping in my tracks.

"You heard me." She stated, becoming defensive.

Without thinking, i grabbed her arm and hauled her into the nearby bathrooms, shoving the door closed behind us. "What the fuck is your problem?" I snapped.

"My problem?" She asked, yanking her arm away from my grasp. "You're the one so determined to handle everything on your own like your all big and tough."
