I made it through my first day and now, i was shutting my dorm door closed behind me as students were filling up the corridor. I jumped straight onto my bed, still high off of my mind, and looked around at my room. I hadn't even considered decorating it. I didnt even bring much to decorate it. Mom made me bring a framed family picture. But i brought a picture of a me and a couple of my old friends. The only reason i did was because Erin was in it. The whole reason i was sent here in the first place. Just under a year back, Erin was killed in a car accident. She was like the glue of our friendgroup and my bestfriend. After she died, my friendgroup fell apart and they turned to drugs. Unfortunately, i did too. Anything i could get my hands on. My mother tried to get me help but it was no use. I was full of grief and anger and I was destroying myself. My mother didn't know what to do. Until she came across Ericsons and she thought 'troubled youth' fit my description so, here i am. Anyway, i was laying in bed, staring up at the ceiling when someone knocked on my door, snapping me out of my trance and startling me. I huffed and sat up, jumped off of my bed and walked towards the door.
"Oh, hey Louis." I said, scratching the back of my head.
"Hey," He smiled, propping his hand on the doorframe to lean on it. "can i come in?"
I furrowed my eyebrows. "Why?"
"I just need to talk to you." He shrugged, putting on a goofy smile after.
"Alright." I shrugged, moving out of the way and pulling the door open wider.
He smiled and walked inside as i pushed the door closed behind him.
"So what's up?" I asked after i had shut the door, noticing he made himself comfortable on the spare bed.
"What were you on earlier?" He asked, tilting his head slightly. "Or should i ask what are you on right now?"
"What?"
"I know you're on something, im just asking what." He shrugged, still smiling.
"Uh," I paused as i eased myself down onto my bed, now sitting opposite him. "Xanax."
"Where'd you get that?" He asked, furrowing his eyebrows.
"This kid in my history class gave it to me." I said, nodding my head slightly.
"Told you this place is crawling with drugs, didn't I?" He chuckled.
"You did." I shrugged, smiling.
"Anyway, it doesn't bother me what you do, just if you need anything, tell me okay?" He smiled.
"Thanks." I smiled.
"Course." He nodded. "Oh and uh, my group wants to meet you. After i said hello to you in the corridor their really curious. And it just so happens i am about to go to the lake with them soooo... do you wanna come?"
"I would but im really too high to function right now, i'll probably see you at dinner though." I said through my teeth, i really was too high to function. And i didn't really want to socialise at that moment.
"That's okay." He smiled as he stood up. "I'll see you at dinner then."
Louis left after that and a few short minutes later, i fell asleep. I woke up, what i found out later to be an hour later to my phone ringing on my nightstand. I groaned and dug my head further into my pillow, hoping it would stop soon but it didn't. I sighed and reached out, slapping my hand down onto my nightstand and feeling around until i felt my phone. I picked it up and opened my eyes, seeing an unknown number ringing me.
"Hello?" I groaned, holding my phone to my ear.
"Hey, you coming to dinner? It's almost-" Louis asked, stopping abruptly midway through his sentence. "Are you sleeping?"
