"Are you one-hundred percent sure you want to do this?" Violet asked, a frown on her face. "I don't want you doing it if you don't want to."
A week passed had passed since it happened. The group had been really supportive throughout the week, thought they were treading lightly and not really bringing it up. I appreciated it anyway. Until thrusday. The lunch bell had just rang and i was heading towards the cafeteria, staring at my phone when i felt a tap on my shoulder. As i looked up, i saw Jax. I ended up staying with him for lunch, talking about going to talk to Jay's dad and eventually, i agreed. Jax told me he had told Jay's dad bit and pieces of what happened, but not everything. That was up to me and that was happening today, saturday afternoon. I was in my dorm, showered and changed just waiting until 1
o'clock, the time Jax and i were supposed to be taking the bus into town, to meet Jay's dad."Yeah. Violet, i'll be okay." I said, smiling slightly as i turned to her.
She sighed. "I know you will. If you need me call me okay? And are you sure you don't want us to come? We don't mind."
"No, it's okay. I'll text you when we get there and when we leave, okay?" I took a seat beside her on my bed as i spoke, smiling.
She nodded her head, turning her head to look at me after. "Im proud of you y'know. For doing this."
I smiled at her. "Thanks Vi."
"You better text me though." She said, tilting her head slightly.
I chuckled slightly. "I will. I promise."
An hour passed and now, Jax and I were sat in the cafe where we were supposed to meet Jay's dad, Andrew.
"I don't know what he's going to ask, but just tell him what you're comfortable telling him okay?" Jax said, leaning foward in his seat as he spoke.
"Latte?" A waitress smiled, stood infront of our table.
"Yeah." I cleared my throat, adjusting myself in my seat as she placed it in front of me.
"Thank you." I smiled slightly as she set it down on the table.
"And the fanta." She smiled, setting the can of fanta and glass of ice infront of Jax.
"Thanks." Jax smiled, glancing up at her.
She smiled. "Anything else?"
"No thanks." I shook my head, picking up my coffee.
"No." Jax smiled, shaking his head slightly.
She smiled again and walked away but i could just tell she did not want to be there. In all fairness, no one really wanted to work.
"I don't know how you can drink that." Jax murmured, pouring his fanta into his glass, after i had taken a mouthful of my latte.
"Neither do i, but i got fuck all sleep last night. I need something to wake me up." I shrugged, leaning back in my seat.
"How come?" Jax asked.
I shrugged again. "I was just up thinking about this."
Jax cleared his throat as his eyes flickered past me. "I don't mean to cut you off, but he's here. Just tell him what you want to okay? Nothing more."
I took a breath and nodded my head.
"Hello Jax and, Clementine?" He must've been mid 40's, thin brown hair, dressed professionally, trousers, shirt and tie. I 100% thought he was a lawyer or something.
"Yeah, hello." I nodded as he held out his hand for me to shake which i did.
He took a seat beside Jax after he shook my hand, pushing his chair in closer to the table before he clasped his hands together and planted them infront of him, on the table. "So, i believe you can tell me why my son hasn't left his room all week?"
