(Violet's POV)
Over the next few days, everything was going smoothly. Clementine was doing as good as she could with the circumstances and i was happy for her, knowing she was okay. But i knew we still had Emily to deal with. But, over the past few days, she steered clear from us. Yeah, she'd shoot us dirty looks and say things under her breath when she passed us but that was it. As far as i knew, she wasn't doing anything to any of the group, or Clementine.
"Hey guys." I said after pushing the door open to Sophies dorm, where they all were since school had just finished.
"Hey, where's Clem?" Brody asked, furrowing her eyebrows.
"She has some meeting with.. i don't know." I shrugged, forgetting the teachers name as i kicked the door closed behind me.
"You two are normally attached at the hip." Marlon chuckled while i walked over to the bed opposite Sophs, taking a seat beside Brody.
"Vi you're really killing me. You've got to ask her. I mean it's so obvious." Sophie groaned.
"It's not that obvious." I mumbled.
"Yes it is." Brody quickly added.
"It is." Marlon nodded.
"My friend, you are in denial." Louis chuckled.
"Okay, okay i will. Eventually." I shrugged.
"Will you though?" Louis asked, chuckling.
"Shut up Louis." I groaned.
A couple of minutes passed and we had changed topics, something about one of Sophies projects and how she didn't know what to do. Nothing i was interested in though so, i left for the bathroom. I was taking my time, walking down the hall and keeping an eye for Clementine but unfortunately, i reached the bathroom with still no sign of her. I figured she was still in the meeting but i knew i'd see her as soon as she was done. I pushed my way into the bathroom, staring at my phone's lock screen as i did, seeing no new notifications but especially, none from Clementine.
"Would you look who it is." I heard her say enthusiastically, her voice almost echoing in the bathrooms.
I looked up as i shoved my phone into my pocket with a dreading feeling that she was going to start something.
"How come you only start shit when we're out of school. Don't want to get in trouble?" I asked her as the door swung shut behind me.
"No. Cause you're already going through enough with her in school, figured you don't need me too. It's a little break for me." Emily shrugged, grinning as she leaned on the sink.
"What are you talking about?" I asked, furrowing my eyebrows.
"You and your girlfriend." Emily chuckled. "Im honestly shocked you fell for it all. I might hate you, but i did expect better."
"What?" I asked, taking a step closer to her.
"Am i really going to be the one to crush your fantasy? Im honoured." She grinned, seeming happy to 'crush my dreams'.
I stayed silent, sort of ruining her rhythm before she spoke up again, breaking the silence.
"She's using you Vi. She's nothing but a liar, a manipulator, an addict... oh, and the winner, she's got a boyfriend." Emily grinned, enjoying the whole situation while i was struck, my face dropping. "I told you i did my research, didn't i?"
I shook it off, knowing Emily would be doing everything in her power to divide us. "You're so full of shit." I scoffed.
"Am i?" She asked, raising her eyebrows. "She's been lying to you, wether you want to accept it or not. As soon as she gets the chance to get out of here, back to her boyfriend, back to her druggie friends in Georgia, back to her life there, she's gonna drop you like a bad habit. Even if she is full of those."
