After dropping Gladz safely at her place, we headed straight back home. I didn't make any other stops — tiredness suddenly washed over me, even though I'd gotten extra rest earlier that morning.
Once inside my room, I quickly freshened up. I told Fhiana to inform Livinghell's father that I wouldn't join dinner tonight, since I planned to sleep early.
I settled comfortably in the middle of the bed, hugging the big teddy bear, one of the gifts from Livinghell's grandmother and soon let sleep take over.
I had no idea what time it was — I woke up feeling restless and burning hot, even though the air‑conditioner was running. My whole body felt sticky and uncomfortable.
Annoyed and irritable, I sat up. I felt something sticky on my legs, and when I touched and looked closer... it was blood. Damn it... so it is that time of the month.
I got out of bed grumpily and went straight to the bathroom to clean myself up — blood had spread quite a bit. I changed my clothes and put on fresh pads.
I stepped out of my room and headed toward the kitchen. I had no appetite for rice meals, but I craved chocolate ice cream. I opened the refrigerator... only to find none there. I slammed the door shut in frustration.
Still irritated, I went back to my room for my keys, phone and wallet. I grabbed a light shawl to cover my skin, then walked out of the mansion toward Vage's car I had been using.

I drove slowly while looking for a convenience store. As soon as I spotted one, I parked and hurried inside.
"Welcome to EverOpen, Ma'am!" Greeted the guard. I just nodded briefly and walked straight in.
I went straight to the freezer section and quickly found chocolate ice cream. I also picked out more food, a slice of strawberry cake, a burger, doughnuts, a sandwich, and milk.
After paying, I went back to the car and looked for a quiet spot to park and eat.
I ate in silence, staring into nothingness as I savored the sweet, cool breeze. It was already the dead of night, no one else was out, so the quiet felt so deep and all-encompassing.
Only a few seconds passed when my phone suddenly rang. The moment I saw who it was, I answered faster than lightning.
