"Livinghell!" I looked at them with a serious, unenthusiastic expression as I watched them walk toward me.
"I'm glad to see you again, Livinghell." Klyne greeted me cheerfully, extending his left hand for a handshake.
"Same to you, I'm glad to see you as well." I replied, accepting his outstretched hand.
Even though I had no desire to be near or even see them — since they were nothing but a future headache waiting to happen — I had no choice but to face them and endure it. It was better that they approached me first rather than the other way around, this way, I could get to know them properly. After all, this was for my own future in this world. I needed to survive.
"How have you been, Livinghell? We saw what happened to you on the news... did you get hurt? Did you get any scratches or bruises?" His cousin Rune asked. I simply shook my head.
"I'm fine. I made it home safely." I answered briefly, and he nodded in understanding.
"That's good then. Take good care of yourself because you're not allowed to die." I turned toward the one who had spoken — and met his eyes, blank, cold, and serious.
I did not like the way he spoke. It was as if he thought he held authority over my life, as if he had every right to decide everything for me. Worse still, his tone made me sound like nothing more than an object to be used.
"And who exactly are you?" I asked sharply, making it very clear I was far from pleased with what I had just heard.
"Calm down, Renge." The man beside him said, his gaze also fixed intently on me.
I looked back at the one named Renge, his expression unchanged. I kept my own face completely unreadable, determined to make them feel and understand that I was not a woman who could be toyed with, belittled, or controlled. I was far from being just an ordinary woman.
"Bro, show some respect. She is your brother's wife." Klyne told him.
Another one of their companions simply smirked at that.
"We apologize for our friend's behavior." Said the man who had been smirking earlier. I stared at him closely — mysterious deep green eyes... a mature, sharp face. In short... dangerous.
Rune cleared his throat to get my attention, seemingly sensing the heavy, tense aura surrounding all of us.
"By the way, Livinghell... please excuse us for such a poor first meeting." He apologized, before clearing his throat again.
I merely nodded, then let my gaze travel over each of them again.
The one with those striking deep green eyes... he must be Salvius Gaxin Cavendish. Oh... so he was the other male lead I liked so much, the one who came after Vage.
Then I looked at the one who had spoken earlier. So... this was Rough Iroui Gramoria, with those grey‑blue eyes centered with vivid green. This is what eyes like that look like in person... This world really was something else — full of wonders and impossibilities. In the real world, eyes like that simply didn't exist.
Standing next to him, I guessed, was none other than Vage's older brother — Rengeince Rhed Rousseau, with eyes the color of cold autumn.
