You had just arrived at Meursault prison when you overheard two men talking

Fyodor: Time for happy group concealing hour. I'm your host Fyodor Dostoevsky.

Dazai: OK, hold up!

You listened closely to them.

Dazai: Group concealing? That's a new one.

Fyodor: It's an important part of prison therapy. You'll see when we get to it.

Fyodor: How about we start with introductions?

Dazai: That would give us something to do...

Fyodor: Alright good. I'll start. I'm Fyodor.

Dazai: Already knew that...

Fyodor: It's still polite to respond.

Dazai: Yeah yeah. Hi Fyodor, nice to meet you. I'm Dazai.

Fyodor: There we go, now, next introduction.

You lifted your head to see Fyodor staring right at you!

Y/N: Oh um uhhh HI! I'm Y/N. Hello Dazai and Fyodor.

Dazai: What a cute name! Well, it's nice to meet you

Fyodor: Alright, that's introductions done.

Dazai: Yay, can't wait to hear what our next riveting subject is going to be about.

Fyodor: Our next piece of business is: emotional reveal.

Dazai: No way. I am not doing that.

Fyodor: Oh come on, it can't be that bad. If I do it you have to.

Dazai: Absolutely not. No way. Nuh-uh. Don't even bother asking.

Fyodor: Too bad, I'm gonna ask anyway.

Dazai: Sigh... fine...

Fyodor: Good. Now Dazai, let's start with you. Share some trauma or any type of emotional moment.

Dazai: That's what I was dreading.

Fyodor: Don't be such a baby, it's not that bad.

Dazai: I'm not a baby! It's emotional trauma, I'm allowed to cringe about revealing it.

Fyodor chuckles slightly. Fyodor: Alright then. You're allowed to cringe, but not allowed to skip it. So start talking.

Dazai: Alright, I'll tell you. My first experience with death.

Fyodor: Go on.

Dazai: It was when I was around eight, I was out in the woods nearby when I stumbled upon a dead bird. It was lying face down, eyes lifeless and wings spread. I just stared at it for a bit, staring at its lifeless body. I didn't know what death was at that time, and it terrified me.

You felt bad for Dazai, wincing at his story and thinking of your own trauma.

Fyodor looks amused at Dazai's story

Fyodor: Really? A bird scared you that badly?

The two began to argue for some time before Fyodor turned to you. Asking you next about any trauma. Dazai pouts as the argument is interrupted

Fyodor: Y/N, it's your turn now.

Y/N: I, uh, witnessed a lot of violence when I was young.

Fyodor listens closely as you speak.

Fyodor: Could you elaborate? What types of violence did you see?

You knew how dangerous the two men were, so, not wanting to let them into your lives and potentially manipulate you, you lied. Making up a story on the spot.

Y/N: Child neglect, and alcohol abuse, I remember, being forced into drinking scotch when I was 9.

Dazai gives a slight look of disgust when you mention the alcohol

Fyodor: That young? Jesus...

Y/N: It's your turn isn't it? Fyodor?

Fyodor: Oh, yes I suppose it is.

he seems slightly uncomfortable to talk about it but still speaks anyway

Fyodor: My turn I see...

Dazai: Having second thoughts?

Dazai snickered at how scared Fyodor looked, he was certainly being out of character.

fyodor shot a glare at Dazai

Fyodor: Shush. I'm not scared, I'm just... hesitating.

Dazai: Hesitating is a form of fear.

Fyodor: No it's not. Now stop talking so I can speak.

As the two argued back and forth, it felt like this would be the longest sentence in prison you'd ever serve. Being incarcerated with these two would surely drive anyone insane.
