Doppo Kunikida | The Ideal

You had gone to the ADA for help about two weeks ago, but Kunikida still hadn't forgotten about you. To him, you were the perfect partner, but of course, he couldn't tell you, being too shy.

One day, Kunikida was just sitting at his desk when he remembered you. He couldn't quite understand why you had been stuck on his mind for so long.

He looked left at Dazai's desk and then right at Yosano's... he noticed that both of them were out of the office.

Little did he know that Dazai and Yosano were out hunting you down. 

It was painfully obvious that he liked you, and Dazai was determined to find you.

His memory of you was interrupted by the entrance of Tanizaki and Atsushi.

"Good morning Kunikida-san."

They both spoke as they walked over in front of Kunikida's desk.

He sighed, "Hello boys, good morning."

Tanizaki started: "Is there any important work to be done today?"

Atsushi nodded and added to Tanizaki's question.

"No, nothing demanding, just some paperwork." As he was talking, Dazai was knocking on your door and Yosano was grinning with a devilish look.

"I see," Tanizaki said casually, nodding and turning to Atsushi, who nodded as well.

They both went to their desks to start working and Kunikida was lost back in thought.

You had opened the door, looking back at Dazai, remembering him as the detective that helped you, you smiled and let them in.

Dazai and Yosano smiled when you opened the door.

"Ah, you remember us!" Dazai said, cheerfully walking into your house with Yosano following behind him.

They both sat down and Dazai was blunt, and straight to the point, without any prompting from you.

"We're here to talk about Kunikida, specifically," Dazai said, with a very serious look on his face.

Yosano had a smirk on her face but remained quiet for now.

"Is everything okay?" You looked a bit concerned and Dazai laughed at your innocents.

"Oh yeah, everything's fine," Dazai said with a relaxed smile on his face.Yosano still had her signature smirk plastered onto her face as Dazai continued."I just thought I'd mention how our friend Kunikida has a massive crush on you~"

You went quiet as you processed what had been said. A crush? You barely knew him.

Dazai continued with a teasing tone: "He can't stop talking about how perfect you are. He's had a thing for you ever since he first saw you. He thinks you're the most beautiful and wonderful person he's ever met."

"Really?"

"Absolutely!~" Dazai said, his smile getting wider.

Yosano decided to chime in and speak for the first time this whole conversation.

"He's completely smitten. He thinks you're a dream come true~"

After you thought for a second, the two asked if you wanted to talk to him, and, why not? He seemed nice when you met him and you couldn't help but think about what it would be like to date him.

Both Dazai and Yosano smiled when you answered, almost looking mischievous.

"Perfect, then I guess that's settled~" Dazai smirked.

"This is going to be fun to watch unfold~" Yosano giggled to herself quietly. 

They took you to the ADA base and you were nervous and excited, you couldn't believe you were doing this, you almost felt like a kid.

As the three of you walked into the office, you noticed Kunikida immediately look up and see you.

Suddenly, his heart started to beat faster in his chest. He had been wondering what you had been up to for the past 2 weeks. But he was shocked when Dazai and Yosano came in with you in tow.

"Hey," You spoke softly.

"DAZAIIIIII!!!" Kunikida yelled. He knew exactly what Dazai had done.

Dazai ignored Kunikida, instead waving his hand at him and saying: "Ah shush, you should be thanking me~"Yosano chuckled and watched the exchange between Dazai and Kunikida.

Once Dazai and Yosano had left you two alone to converse, Kunikida walked up to you and attempted to speak.

But his nervousness caused his words to come out wrong: "Ah, greetings... I mean, it's good to..."

He paused to take a breath and collect himself.

"Do you want to go out?" You interrupted, a slight blush on your face.

Kunikida's face went completely red as soon as he heard you ask that.But he managed to keep his head clear enough to reply."Y-Yes! Absolutely!"Yosano had been watching from afar and smiled when she heard that. A wide smirk spread across Dazai's face.

You smiled, pulling him to the nearest cafe, he let you pull him, screaming inside. And as you talked you knew you wanted to be with him.
