"Just... fucking enjoy it."

Alexa Sinclair

I finally convinced my dad to take the tarp off of the pool. I'd been begging him all summer.

He wouldn't because he says it's too much to maintain, and then he has to rehire the pool cleaner because he's too busy to clean it... and i'm too lazy to do it for him.

True that.

I pulled my sunnies over my head, taking out some floaties from the garage.

Something caught my sight.

I gasped, seeing a kitten running into my garage. Oh my gosh. She... or he... or they, i'm not assuming it's pronouns.

Well anyway it is mine now.

I took a couple steps back, not wanting to scare it away. I closed the garage door, and ran into my house. "TOMMM!!" I shouted, where the heck is he when I need him?

I went down to the basement, where my dad usually worked out.

I spotted him on the pull up bar.

"Baby, I need you. Like right now!" I emphasized, he eyed me up and down.

I look so summery right now.

Red tube top, with sort of short denim shorts, and flip flops on. I never wear flip flops.

Tom says I have cute toes. I think he's a little weird for that, but it's okay.

And to top it all off, sunglasses shaped in a heart. They were also... red.

"What is it? Where's the fire?" He let himself down, he's so going to kill me for this.

"I'm the chosen one!" I neared closer to him, and dragged him by his his arm.

"Huh?!"

He's so slow.

"There's a kitten in my garage, I need you to help me catch it. Tom, please it's so cute. I need your help, it can be our baby!" I exclaimed, running rapidly up the stairs.

"I don't want a baby!"

"Yes, you do! Because you love me and with that comes children, so now let's go collect our first child!" I quickly opened the door that lead to the garage, the kitten slipped in past us.

"Tom! It's our baby!" I screamed, as it ran down the stairs.

"She's not our baby!"

"Hey." I held a finger up. "You shouldn't assume it's pronouns." I said, getting serious.

"Now. Please go catch it! I've always had cat food on stand by just incase!" I winked at him.

"Why the fuck do you have cat food on stand by?" Tom furrowed his brows, duh. So when the cat distribution system comes around to me, I can be prepared.

I also own a litter box, the litter, and cat toys.

I thought this was a known thing?
