-another week later-I sighed, staring at my phone.
"It's not going to buzz." Bill said, while flipping pancakes onto a plate.
"Shut the fuck up, yes it will." I glared at him.
It buzzed.
"HAH!" I shouted, jumping up on the pull out couch, and rushed to open my phone.
malik: don't be late tmr
I'm gonna smash this fucking phone.
I threw it on the floor, plopping back down, I groaned for a solid minute.
"She has to forgive me at some point, right?!"
"I don't know man, I think she got a new lover." Bill turned the stove off.
"Who the fuck?"
He smiled sweetly. "Abby."
I finally caved, going to our chat.
T: can we talk?
lexie: no
Fucking shit.
T: please, i'll be nice
lexie: You hurt my feelings.
I know, shorty. I know I fucked it up.
T: that wasn't my intention
lexie: I gtg, i'm leaving for school.
I clenched my fists, punching the air.
Guess, i'm going to school early.

"Lexie!" I spotted her, she stopped.
Hah, she knows my voice.
"What?" She turned around.
I opened my mouth to speak, but couldn't find the right words, her hair was straightened.
It's usually curled.
"I like your hair." I complimented, her lips curved up a little. "Thank you."
"And I-I like the headband." I added.
She nodded. "Thank you."
"It's shiny, are you using a new—"
"Tom, what do you want?" Alexa cut me off, I shoved my hands into my pockets.
"I want us to be friends again." I stated, in simple words. "You don't get to just wave a magic wand, that'll make us friends again. You have to put in the work." What type of work?
I'm so fuckin' confused.
I did the only thing I could think of.
