Sorry for the late update guys. My grandma came home from hospital and doctors said she would be completely fine,but she needs lots of rest. Thank you so much for your support and well wishes. Enjoy this part.❤️
They all were pretty miserable that night. Or at least alecs was. She had a bad headache and she was exhausted after fighting furies and medusa. To add to it they had to camped out in the woods, a hundred yards from the main road, in a marshy clearing that local kids had obviously been using for parties. The ground was littered with flattened soda cans and fast-food wrappers.
" Yeah. No. I would be miserable too, if I had to sleep like that." Lucius said with a grimace and then sent his niece a sympathetic smile.
The demigods, satyr and tyson shared a look, remembering all situations that they had to sleep at places even worse than that. And That place. Both percy and alecs silently added to the list.
The blacks didn't look happy either at the prospect that their youngest member sleeping on the ground, but hold their tongues since one, it was useless because it was in the past and two, it wasn't only her but her friends too.
" I hate my life." Alecs muttered to herself as she sat down next to annabeth. They'd taken some food and blankets from Aunty Em's, but didn't dare light a fire to dry their damp clothes. Two fights in row had provided enough excitement for one day. They really didn't want to attract anything else.
" I think it was the first and only time that worked. " Annabeth commented with a thoughtful expression and explained when others looked at him questioningly.
" I mean trying not to attract monsters. With these two around-" she gestured at percy and alecs.
"- it was impossible than impossible." Grover, tyson and the gods slowly nodded considering annabeth's words.
" Hey!" The couple yelled indignantly but annabeth cut them off as she fold one finger at time saying,
" water beds, Monster donuts, Mt. S-"
" Ok ok we get it. Alecs stopped her immediately, then,
" But half of them wasn't our fault. Many of them were wrong place in the wrong time ? " she asked looking at percy who nodded in agreement.
" Yeah. And that's the funniest part of it." Annabeth replied and they all burst into laughter, including percy and alecs.
To added security, they decided to sleep in shifts, Knowing she won't get much sleep, Alecs volunteering to take first watch. Annabeth curled up on the blankets and was snoring as soon as her head hit the ground. Grover fluttered with his flying shoes to the lowest bough of a tree, put his back to the trunk, and stared at the night sky. Alecs saw percy wasn't sleep but sitting few feet away from them, in deep thought. With a little hesitation she stood up and went to sit next to him. The boy looked up when he saw her,
" Hey, what's up ?" The familiar spark of mischief lit her eyes as she replied,
" No, Please don't !" Many slytherins shouted at the same time and groaned when alecs replied,
" The sky " She smirked as percy rolled his eyes at the joke while grover groaned. Alecs heard him mutter something like ' not this again please' under his breath, causing her smirk to widened.
" Ha ha, hilarious." Percy retorted sarcastically.
" I know , right!" She replied in the same tone making them both to chuckle.
" No. I mean seriously drea, how are you ?" The boy asked her, turning serious, A glimmer of concern in his eyes. Alecs didn't meet his or grover's eyes when she said,
