Chapter 22 (They're After Me!?)

Yesterday, Pixie Bomb informed us that we'd be doing a special training for everyone and Class A and Class B are going to be fighting each other. Right now she's giving us the instructions on how we're gonna do it.

"Okay, so Class B is going to start out as the "scarers". When they're in place, Class A will go off in pairs every three minutes. There are tags with your names on it at the far end of the route. Your goal is to collect those!" Pixie Bomb explained. "Revelry of the dark." Tokoyami said.

"Now those who are the scarers aren't allowed to make physical contact. Use your quirks to terrify the others. Got it!?" Pixie bomb said. "The winners are the creative students who make the most people piss their pants!" Tiger said. "Did we need that visual?" Jiro said.

"I see! They're testing our courage and our ability to be creative with our quirks! As expected of UA!" Iida said. "Alright! Now draw lots to choose your partner!" Pixie Bomb yelled. I ended up with Izuku. "Cool. We'll protect each other, 'kay, Izuku?" I said. "Yeah!" he said.

"Next team! That's you two. Ribitty and Miss Floater!" Pixie Bomb yelled telling Tsu and Uraraka to enter the forest. Me and Izuku were the last to go so we were still waiting with a couple of other students. A few moments later, we started smelling something burning. "You guys smell that? Or is it just me?" I asked. "No, I smell something burning too." Izuku said.

"There's definitely something foul in the air." Pixie Bomb said. "Look!" I said. "Black smoke." Mandalay said. "Has something been caught on fire?" Iida questioned. "Maybe a fire on the mountain?" Ojiro said. All of a sudden Pixie Bomb started flying backwards into the forest. "Hey, what's happening!?" she yelled.

"Pixie Bomb!" Mandalay shouted. She smacked into a tool a man standing next to a human gecko was holding. "First, let's get rid of these feral cats." The man said. "What? Now way. I thought they said this place was hidden from everyone else...So why the heck are there villains here!?" Mineta said, scared out of his mind.

"Pixie Bomb!" Izuku shouted. Tiger and Mandalay blocked Izuku from running to her. "This is bad." Mandalay said. Izuku then gasped. "Where's Kota!?" he shouted. I felt a bead of sweat run down my face.

'I know I shouldn't...but I can't help but to be worried about Kacchan. I want to rush to his side and make sure he's okay...No, it's okay. He had Todoroki with him. He'll be fine. Focus on the problem ahead of you.' I thought.

"How are you this evening UA High School? We are part of the Vanguard Action Squad of the League Of Villains." The gecko said. "The League Of Villains?" Ojiro said. "What the heck are they doing here?" I said.

"Tiger, I've talked to everyone. Trust the safety of the students to Ragdoll. You and I will stay here and hold them back. You return to camp. Class rep, I entrust you with that task and make sure everyone gets there safely. Don't engage anyone." Mandalay ordered.

"Right! Let's go!" Iida said. I wanted to follow instructions but I just couldn't let go of the fact that Kacchan and the other students were in danger. "Midoriya, Yumi, come on!" Iida said. "You go on without me. Mandalay!" Izuku yelled. "Yumi?" "I'm sorry, but you'll have to leave me too. I'm going after the other students! They could use the help." I said and ran off into the forest.

"Wait, Yumi! Come back!" Iida yelled, but I just ignored him. 'Kacchan and Todoroki were second to enter the forest, right? So they should be pretty far away. Right. Then I'll make it my goal to catch up with them but if I encounter any other students, then they'll be my priority.' I thought as I ran.

I felt like I was running for forever when I heard Mandalay use her telepathy. "Everyone! We believe we've discovered the enemy's targets. It's two students named Yumi, and Kacchan. If you guys can hear me, try not to engage in combat and stick to a group." she said.

'They're after me and Kacchan!?' I yelled in my head. 'I knew I was right to worry. I better hurry up and make it to Kacchan.' I picked up the pace. I rustled through the bushes and I felt my heart skip at least fifty beats. "Kacchan! Todoroki! I found you!!!" I yelled.

"Yumi?" They both said, surprised to see me. "Thank goodness you're both okay." I said getting out of the bush and rushing to their sides. "Look out!" Todoroki yelled and made an ice wall in front of me. "What the heck is that!?" I yelled. "It's a villain. It uses its teeth for weapons." Todoroki explained.

"Flesh. Flesh. I want human flesh. But no, I have a job to do, must resist." the villain said. "Don't worry, I got this." I said. I got my hands ready to attack but Todoroki grabbed my wrist. "Didn't you hear Mandalay? The villains are here for you. You can't engage in any fighting." he said.

"Oh, right...Can you believe I actually forgot that quickly?" I said, laughing and scratching my head. Todoroki sighed and shook his head and he continued to defend against the villain while I just stood there not knowing what to do. After a while the ground began to shake. We turned our heads back and saw Shoji carrying a beat up Izuku on his back.

"Shoji? Izuku? And is that...Tokoyami!?" I yelled. "Bakugo, Todoroki! One of you, give us some light!" Shoji yelled frantically. The villain tried to attack them but Tokoyami's Dark Shadow slammed him to the ground and trapped him with his hand. We all gasped at the visual of Tokoyami crying and screaming.

Shoji dodged Dark Shadow and used his dupla arm to talk to us. "We need some light, now! He's outta control!" he said. "I'll use my flames." Todoroki said. "Not so fast." Kacchan said, blocking Todoroki. He saw Dark Shadow overpowering the villain and wanted him to finish the job first.

When he did, Todoroki and Kacchan then made light and calmed Dark Shadow down. "And once again, I'm a bad matchup for you, feather head." Kacchan said. "Thanks. You saved me." Tokoyami said. "We could barely defend against that guy and yet, you took it down instantly." Tododroki said.

"My friend. Are you okay? We did what we needed to do." Shoji said as he walked up to Tokoyami. Tokoyami shook and spoke. "Shoji. I'm sorry...You too, Midoriya. I'm still far too immature. I got so angry and my quirk consumed me. Dark Shadow combined with the night and my fury made him go into a frenzy.

Until it got out of control and I ended up hurting Shoji!" Tokoyami said angrily. "...We'll deal with that later..." Shoji said. Tokoyami gasped and looked up at him. "That's what you would've said if the roles were reversed, right?" They stared at each other for a moment before Izuku spoke up.

"Okay, I'm not sure if you heard Mandalay, but I found out that the villains are after Yumi and Kacchan." "Yumi, and Bakugo? Are they trying to kill them? Why? Well...I could understand Yumi, but why Bakugo too?" Tokoyami said. I jumped in offense.

"WHAT!? Why would you say that!? I mean, I know it's true, but why! We don't have to address the elephant in the room. That's just pure mean." I mumbled the last part. "I'm not sure if they're trying to kill them or not, but I think we should get back to camp. It's the safest place right now as long as Vlad King and Mr. Aizawa are there." Izuku said.

"I understand. So our mission is to get these two back to safety by serving as their protectors." Tokoyami said. Me and Kacchan just stood there looking clueless as they continued to plot together. "It's possible the pussycats are still fighting in the clearing.

Going that way would draw the villains attention to us, plus it's longer. It's better to just cut straight through." Izuku said. "We don't know how many villains there are. We might encounter some on the way." Tokoyami said. "We can use Shoji's search ability and Todoroki's freezing power.

And, if Tokoyami is okay with it, we can always use Dark Shadow now that we can control him...Honestly with a group like this, we could even go up against All Might." Izuku said. "I'd be okay on my own!" Kacchan yelled. "We'll surround you two as we walk." Todoroki said calmly.

"I don't need any of your protection and neither does Yumi! She has me!" Kacchan yelled. I gasped and blushed slightly, but shook it off. 'Remember. He doesn't like you in that way. The only thing you need to worry about right now is making sure he's safe and all the others are too.' I thought.

I raised my fist and hit Kacchan in the head. "Stop being a pain!" I yelled. "Let's go." Todoroki said. "Don't ignore me!" "Just make sure you keep up." "Don't tell me what to do!" I raised my fist and hit Kacchan again. "What'd I just say!?" I yelled. "Stop hitting me!" Kacchan yelled.

"Stop being a butt and I will!" "I'm not being a butt! You're the one being annoying!" "Whatever! Let's just get to camp!" "That's what I've been doing the whole time!"
