Chapter 11 (Yumi vs Kacchan)

(Edited) I definitely rushed this chapter, so I added more details and things I forgot to put in before. I also tried to make it easier to understand and read. I'll be editing the rest of my chapters a lot later. Still, I hope you still enjoy it.

The crowd cheered as me and Kacchan walked out the tunnel prepared to fight each other. 

"For the second match of the second round, she got in by recommendation and is extremely offensive with her two quirks! She's also great when it comes to teasing people! Aizawa should know. From Class 1-A, it's the not serious, but seriously strong, Boriko Takayumi!" Present Mic announced.

'What's with that intro? I mean it's accurate and all but still...You know what, I have no complaints.' I thought. 

"Also from Class1-A, her classmate Kasuki Bakugo!" 

"So Kacchan. The time has finally come, huh? I gotta say, I didn't really expect us to actually fight each other. This brings back memories doesn't it?" I said, smirking.

Kacchan just stared at me with a serious look.

Third Person POV

'Yumi......You were always in the way. Anytime I wanted to do something to Deku...You were always there.' Kacchan thought.

Flashback

"Ha! You want to be a hero even though you don't have a quirk? You don't stand a chance. Deku." Kacchan said and he and all of his friends activated their quirks. Izuku whimpered and took a step back.

They all ran at the crying Izuku but Yumi ran in and blew them all away with her quirk. "What are you guys doing? Stop trying to bully Izuku." she said. Kacchan growled. "Yumi." They all turned around and left.

Present

'The only reason I stuck around you was because of my mom. If that hag hadn't told me to protect you, I would've left you alone a long time ago.' Kacchan thought. 

Flashback

Kacchan and Yumi were standing at his front door talking to his mom with Yumi's mom.

"So this is your daughter!? She's so adorable! What's your name?" Kacchan's mom asked. 

"Boriko." she said confidently. 

"That's a beautiful name. Katsuki. You make sure to take care of her and protect her from now on, okay?" she said.

"Why do I need to protect her? She can do that herself." Kacchan said. 

"Katsuki. You're going to do what I told you. You're gonna walk her home everyday and make sure she doesn't get hurt, or else!" Kacchan narrowed his eyes and reluctantly agreed.

Present

'We've always been together and I've always protected you. Then after a while...I stopped doing it reluctantly.' Kacchan thought. 

'Kacchan. We've always been together. I remember the day your mom told you to protect me and you did just that.' Yumi thought.

Flashback

Yumi, Izuku, Kacchan, and his friends we're playing . They were marching across a log bridge with Kacchan in the front of the line. 

"Forward marching, here we go! Members of the agency, Bakugo!" Kacchan sang.

As they were marching, Yumi slipped and fell into the lake below them. Everyone gasped and Kacchan rushed to help her. He held out his hand to her with his head turned and a tint of blush on his cheeks.
