The next day I decided to walk to school by myself and I was thinking about what I said last night.

'If he wants to reject me, then I'll reject him.

'That was so stupid of me. Kacchan is your best friend. You can't ruin your friendship over something as silly as this. Now today, you're going to talk to him like normal. You got that!' I yelled at myself.

I got to class and things went about normally.

"I believe I've mentioned this already, but your main goal this summer is to earn your provisional licenses." Aizawa said standing at his podium in the front of the class.

"Yes sir!" everyone said.

"Do not take this lightly. A hero license means you'll be responsible for human lives. You can imagine that the exam to get one is extremely hard. Only 50% of students pass the tests required for these permits each year." Aizawa said.

"It's that hard to get a provisional license!?" Mineta asked nervously.

"Of course it would." I said.

"In order to prepare, today you'll concentrate on creating something new..." Aizawa trailed off. Just then, the door slid open and Cementoss, Ectoplasm, and Midnight were standing at the door.

"Two ultimate moves." Aizawa finished.

"Ultimate moves!?" Me, Kaminari, and Kirishima yelled excitedly.

"An exam is a normal school thing!" Ashido and Kaminari yelled.

"But this is total hero work!" Me and Kirishima yelled, finishing their sentence.

"When we say ultimate, we mean a move you can use to ensure you win against your opponent." Ectoplasm said.

"An action so unique to your identity, that no other person can copy it. Simply put, you must learn to lean into your strengths." Cementoss said.

"Your moves represent who you are. These days, most heroes have an ultimate move. Those who don't are fools." Midnight said.

"This may seem a bit abstract to you, but we'll explain later today. For now, go change into your costumes and meet in Gym Gamma." Aizawa said.

"Gym Gamma, also known at the academy as the "Training Dining Land" or TDL." Aizawa said.

"This facility was my idea. We can prepare unique terrains and obstacles for each of you. Here you will learn how to serve up justice. Hence the name." Cementoss explained.

"That's pretty cool." Kaminari said.

Then Iida raised his hand.

"Please allow me a question! What is the purpose of having an ultimate move for the provisional license exam! May we know your reasoning!" he yelled.

"That's two questions. Calm down." Aizawa said. "The job of a hero is to save people from all kinds of danger. Crime, accidents, natural, or man-made disasters. Of course the licensing exam analyzes how well you're able to deal with such things.

It won't just be fighting. Your ability to gather information and make decisions on the spot will be tested. In addition to how well you communicate, cooperate, and lead others. Every year, a new test is used to evaluate these abilities." Aizawa explained.

"One thing is especially important. If you want to be a pro hero, you must be able to prevail in any battle. If you're prepared you won't have to worry. And those of you with an ultimate move will have stronger results." Midnight explained.
