It was the last class of the day and everyone had found out at lunch that the practical exams were just gonna be robots, like what they fought in the entrance exams. They were talking about it amongst themselves when Kacchan got up and interrupted them.
"It shouldn't matter if it's robots or actual people. Why are you morons so excited?" he said. "Hey! Who are you calling a moron!?" Kaminari said. "Shut up! You need to learn how to control your quirk! Ya got it!?" Then Kacchan turned to Izuku.
"Hey! Deku!" The room got really tense. "I don't know what's going on with your power, but I saw the way you were moving around and I think you should know...It's seriously pissing me off."
"Uh-oh. He must mean how Deku was flying around like him the other day." Uraraka said. "Oh, yeah, totally." Ashido said. "I won't have another fluky win like at the sports festival. We'll be getting individual scores in the upcoming assessment. New rankings.
So we'll all see exactly where we're standing! I'll show you how much better I am!" Kacchan then turned around. "And Todoroki. I'll kill you too." he said. I walked over to Izuku who looked scared. "Are you okay?" I asked worriedly. "I'm fine. Thanks."
"It's been a while since I've seen him that worked up." Kirishima said. "Yumi. You know him the best. What do you think it is? Impatience? Or just hatred?" Tokoyami asked me. I paused before answering. ".....Probably both. And it's worrying the heck outta me." I said. I ran out the room to catch up with him.
"Hang in there, Izuku!" I said before closing the door.
Third Person POV
All of the teachers were having a meeting in the faculty office with the principal.
"I understand why we need to change the practical exams, but having the students fight us? I mean even if they are in teams of two, is that a good idea?" Cementos said. "I agree. It seems a bit unfair." Thirteen said. "If we went too easy on them we wouldn't be able to give them actual grades, yo!" Present Mic said.
"Of course we could take that into consideration and give the kids an advantage." Snipe said. "Principal? What do you think about this?" Aizawa asked. "I believe I agree. We need to change the practical exams to reflect the current times. How do we ensure the students aren't put in life threatening situations?
The answer is simple. We must push them. We make sure they're as strong as possible." Nezu explained. "That makes sense." Midnight said. "I agree." Thirteen said. "Right. Then let's talk about the teams. First Todoroki. He's generally speaking doing quite well, but relies too much on brute force.
Yaoyorozu is an all arounder, but lacks the ability to make quick decisions in the moment and apply them. Therefore I'll erase their quirks to take advantage of their weaknesses." Aizawa explained. "Sounds good." Everyone said.
"Next, for Bakugo, Midoriya, and Yumi, I'm leaving them to you, All Might. In this case I didn't pair the three of them up based on ability, or classwork. I went with...relationships. I know you've got a soft spot for Midoriya and the other two have a deep admiration for you.
In this team, Yumi's the key to their success. Please ensure that they learn something." Aizawa said.
Yumi's POV
The three days of written exams were finally over and it was now time for our practical exam. "Now then, let's begin the last test. Remember, it's possible to fail this final. If you wanna go to camp then don't make any stupid mistakes." Aizawa said.
"Uh, why are all the teachers here?" Jiro asked. "I expect you guys believe you have some idea of what you'll be facing today." Aizawa said. "We're fighting those big ol robots!" Kaminairi yelled excitedly. "Fireworks! Smores! Here we come camp!" Ashido said.
"Actually, we're going to be doing something completely different this year for various reasons!" Principal Nezu said as he climbed out of Aizawa's scarf. "You're changing things?" Yaomomo asked. "The tests now have a new focus. There will be hero training, of course.
But also teamwork and combat between real people. So what does that mean for you? You students will be working in pairs, with one exception, and your opponents will be one of our beloved teachers, isn't that amazing!" Nezu said.
"We're fighting the teachers!?" Everyone said. "Additionally your pairs and teachers have been chosen already. They were determined based on various factors, including fighting style, grades and interpersonal relationships." Aizawa explained. "First we have Todoroki and Yaoyorozu...against me." Aizawa said with a smirk.
"Next, we have Yumi, Midoriya, and Bakugo." We all jumped and looked at each other. "And your opponent will be..." "I am here! To fight!" "We're up against ALL MIGHT!?" We all yelled. "You're gonna have to work together boys, and girl...If you want to win." All Might said.
Kacchan and Izuku both looked at each other. Kacchan was glaring and Izuku was shaking in his pants. I was just sitting there not knowing what to do. I've always been able to handle them individually, but when we're all together, I never know what to do.
I can't anticipate what Kacchan will try to do and how he'll react to Izuku's actions. He gets so angry. And not the type of angry that's funny to me, I mean the type of angry that makes me scared for him.
This is bad. If I can't handle them, we're all gonna FAIL!
