"Oh, goody. It's time to get this party started. Your 15 minutes are up!" Midnight announced.

"Hey, look alive!" Present Mic said.

"After 15 minutes of picking teams, and talking strategy, 12 cavalry teams are about to go head to head!"

"I see some unexpected team in the arena." Aizawa said.

"Come on! Get your hands in the air! It's time for an arena thumping UA battle royal! Let me hear you scream!!!" Present Mic said.

We got our horses ready.

Kirshima was in the front, I was on the right, and Ashido was on the left, while, of course, Kacchan was on top.

"Okay, first years! I hope you're happy with your chosen teams! Let's get this party started!! One final countdown before we start! Three..."

"Get 'em." Kacchan said while cracking his knuckles.

"Two...One..."

"Begin!" Midnight said.

Everyone in the arena ran after Izuku.

Izuku pressed a button and went flying into the air.

"Kacchan! Go get him!" I yelled.

Kacchan used his hands to blast himself into the air where Izuku was.

"Don't think for a second you're safe!!!" he yelled.

Then he used his explosions to attack but Tokoyami blocked it with his dark shadow.

"Stupid bird." I said under my breath.

"WHOA!!!! Bakugo has been separated from his horses! Is that even allowed!!??" Present Mic yelled.

"He never touched the ground. So technically yes." Midnight confirmed.

"Come on! We gotta go catch him!" I said. We all ran in the direction Kacchan was falling in and caught him.

"Now who wants to take a look at each team's points so far!? It's been 7 minutes so let's get those points on the screen!" Present Mic said.

The board showed our points and the crowd went quiet.

"Hold on, now. Apart from Midoriya, class 1-A is not doing so well. Even Bakugo has 0 points!"

I perked up at the mention that our team had 0 points.

Kacchan had gotten his headband taken!

"What the heck!" I said.

"They got us!" Ashido said.

A dude with slick yellow hair was smirking at us while swinging Kacchan's headband around his finger.

"Your class is too small minded. Think bigger." he said calmly.

"What did you say!? Come back here!" Kacchan yelled.

"Midnight said the obstacle course was just the first game. And we figured they wouldn't eliminate too many people right off the bat, right? Assuming they'd keep at least 40 contestants for the next game, all we had to do was stay in that group as we ran. From our spots in the middle ranks, we could observe the quirks of our rivals and judge their capabilities. Only a fool would obsess over winning the first game." the guy from class 1-B said.

'Who does this brat think he is?' I thought.

"You planned this as a class?" Kacchan asked.

The brat tied our headband around his neck.
