AFFECTION
chapter 25 — hoco emotions
THE QUARTET WAS IN THE LINE FOR the photobooth, irene and ryan in front of with ryan holding irene's waist from behind."so, how'd you get the blue tie huh?" blair asked dylan.
"from the...store?"
"obviously. i mean how'd you even know what color i was wearing, what shade to get." blake said.
"oh. well, me and ryan stayed up all night making the plan, and doing the posters and everything, and then in the morning me and my mom went to the mall and went to the closest dress store to olive garden, since that's where we ate. somehow my mom pretended she was your mom and then got them to show the dress you got, well that girl got for you. and then we got the matching tie." dylan ranted.
"all that..just for me?" blair asked. "anything..just for you." dylan smiled.
"okay lovebirds cut it out, we're done, come here for the group!" irene said.
blair and dylan didn't realize that they were already at the front of the line, and that irene and ryan had taken their photos already.
the other two walked up, and the four of them crowded into frame.
dylan grabbed a mustache prop, while blair grabbed the red and blake boa.
they all posed in the first photo, the second one the guys both getting hats and putting them on their heads.
"kiss on the cheek dylan." ryan said, gesturing to their girlfriends..well ryan's and dylan's date.
"that's so corny." dylan said, before kissing blair on the cheek.
they all did the silliest pose they could for the last photo, and then when it was done they had to put their number in.
"i'll put mine in, ill send it to you guys." blair said, typing in her number.
"look at you being a kind soul." dylan smiled, putting his arm around blair's waist.
"don't start this." blair stuck her finger in dylan's face.
they walked towards the drinks and snacks, dylan pouring some orange pucnh in two cups for him and blair.
"thank you." blair said when dylan handed her the cup.
he took a sip of it, and then started coughing. "blair don't drink that, it's like 110 percent spiked." dylan said.
"wait actually." blair said panicking. "yeah, here gimme it."
suddenly her breath started to speed up, looking around at all the people who probably willingly drank the punch after tasting the alcohol.
"blair?" dylan said, and blair snapped back into reality.
she wasn't any more relax though, and she quickly started walking towards the nearest exit of the gym.
"blair! wait up!" dylan said, chasing after his date.
he was extremely confused, he couldn't understand what was going on so he just followed blair.
they made it to the cafeteria that was also decorated, and blair was visibly holding back tears.
she walked over to where irene and ryan were sitting, and worry took over irene's smile and she immediately got out of ryan's hold.
"babes, what's wrong, what's going on." irene said pulling her in for a hug.
"dylan." irene said, glaring at dylan. "i didn't do anything!" dylan said putting his hands up in surrender.
"you know the owl emoji we use for...you know." blair said, crying into irene's shoulder.
"yes of course."
"that's what happening."
irene sighed, and then her and blair left the cafeteria together.
dylan sat down in irene's former seat, which was awfully close to ryan.
"what the heck does owl emoji mean?" dylan asked.
"i don't know."
"i thought you would, irene's your girlfriend for like 2 years!"
"irene will tell me everything dylan, but she won't tell me anything about blair or her and blair ever." ryan said.
dylan sighed, "im sad cuddle up to me like you do to irene."
"dude what." ryan said.
"oh ryan, you're so cute!" dylan said in a high pitched voice running his finger on ryan's cheek.
"dyl stop it!"
-
dylan was partying with his friends, his shirt way more unbuttoned than it should be, down to 4 buttons that were open.
it was like he felt the presence of his crush when she walked back into the gym, her best friend trailing behind her.
blair walked up to dylan, and he immediately took her hand when she got close enough.
"are you okay blair?" dylan asked. "yeah i just needed some time."
"oh okay..um are you sure you don't wanna tell me." dylan said.
blair nodded, and she could see slight disappointment in dylan's eyes.
"you look good sweaty, and weirdly you don't stink." blair said.
"genes."
blair rolled her eyes laughing, "i was the sweatiest i've ever been when i kissed you, confessed, and asked you to homecoming." dylan smiled.
"maybe sweat is my good luck." dylan said.
"ew!"
blair took out a napkin she had in her purse, putting it on dylan's face and wiping his sweat.
he stared at the girl in front of him, briskly glancing to her lips. this was the girl he had loved for years, and now she was wiping his sweat.
seeings the growth made his palms sweaty and unlocked a different emotional world inside of him. and honestly, it was scaring him.
dylan instead just grabbed blair's face, kissing her for the third time for the night.
a hand threaded through her black curled hair, their lips moving against each others like fingers on a piano.
he pulled away, out of breath, and his hands running along her arms.
"sorry i don't know what happened i just-" dylan said, matching the color of a tomato.
"don't worry about it hoffman." blair said, leaning up and kissing dylan said.
with that they started to dance together, homecoming not being a disaster after all.
nayah speaks !!
bro has been hungry with the amount of times he's kissed her so far.
