chapter 35 — double date plan
"DYLAN STOP IT!" BLAIR YELLED AS dylan stole her breadstick on pasta day for lunch. "you already ate yours!""and yours looks delicious." dylan said as he took a bit out of the breadstick. "no!" blair yelled. taking it out of dylan's mouth.
she sulked, sad the favorite part of pasta day was being eaten by her boyfriend. "you must hate me." blair said.
"no you're everything to me." dylan said, putting his arm around blair. he leaned down, kissing her head before rubbing her shoulder.
irene cleared her throat as ryan and her sat across from the other couple, her wanting to talk. "so ryan and i were thinking-"
"mostly irene." ryan interjected. "we were thinking, to celebrate two weeks of you guys being together we should have our first double date!" irene excitedly spoke.
irene was more than happy her best friend was happy, and that she was right in the long run of course. but the part she was the most glad about was her being able to finally have double dates with her best friend, and even better that their boyfriends were best friends.
"no." dylan quickly said. "dude, we talked about this." ryan said.
"and i settled with no double dates." dylan said. "anyways, i was thinking we go to an arcade and see which couple could get the most tickets by the end."
"i love that idea, you're an actual genius." blair said, smiling. "we were thinking we could go after the saturday game in greendale, my mom's coming so she could take all of us back to my house and we could all change and do whatever and then go out for lunch and then go to the arcade." ryan said.
"let's go for it." blair said, turning to see dylan's annoyed face.
"well i'm gonna be tired after the game, i'd rather go home." dylan said. "well then it's not gonna be a double date." irene said.
"why are we doing this again?" dylan asked. "cause it's fun, and we're best friends dating best friends it needs to happen." ryan said.
"isn't that a bit awkward, two couples sitting across from each other flirting?"
"no...cause we're all friends...." irene said, slowly. "well i don't wanna go."
ryan threw his hands up in defeat, sighing as he looked at his best friend.
blair sadly looked at dylan, she didn't want to really but she still thought it would be a fun time. "can you please go?" she asked.
"i don't want to third wheel, and we can have another sleepover at yours after." blair said as she looked up at dylan.
"it'll basically just be us."
dylan sighed while he debating his decision again. he didn't really like the idea of double dates, and could care less if his best friend and his best friend's girlfriend was sad about it.
