"Everything about her is just so perfect. Her face, her hair, her eyes. Not to mention, she's incredibly hot."

"For the love of god, would you shut up already?"

The five of us were currently eating lunch in the courtyard, listening to Spencer ramble on about some new crush of his. I think her name was Violet.

"I can't shut up! She's so fucking gorgeous!" Spencer whined. Allison smacked herself on the forehead in exasperation. "She literally hates you."

"The best type of love always starts with hate."

"Sure. Every single love story starts with- 'Get the hell out of my way before I put my foot in your face.' Christian interjected.

Spencer simply sighed, staring up at the sky in complete delusion. "I know. She's perfect."

I laughed at him. He was always going for girls who were way out of his league, or wanted nothing to do with him. Even though I felt a little bad for the guy, it was very funny to watch. The last time he had a crush on a girl like this, he tried to surprise her with a candle lit dinner, and instead, set the physics classroom on fire. It triggered the alarm and doused her in water. Let's just say, he never spoke to her again after that.

We finished eating and went to our respective classes. I had history next, which was a huge bummer. I shared that class with Jason, who simply sat and the back of the classroom and did pissing off shit.

Professor Danvers was talking about some boring story like she always does, when Jason decided it would be fun to hurl spitballs at everyone. Him and his buddy Connor, proceeded to ruin the entire class.

I clenched my jaw as I felt a spitball hit me right in the back of the head. Ugh, how were these guys the most popular in the entire school? They were downright irritating. How the hell this asshole acts like this in class and gets top grades, I'll never know. It's probably why most of the teachers just give him a pass when he starts acting up.

The class ended after another painful forty minutes. I made my way over to chemistry, where Spencer was already waiting. We were doing lab work today, which was always fun since it gave us a chance to talk.

"I swear, he is so fucking annoying. He was doing that shit for the entire godamn class. Like can you believe that?"

Spencer rolled his eyes, heating the test tube above the Bunsen burner. "I get it. You hate your brother. Do you ever chill, Lukey?"

"Hey, I listen to you ramble on about different girls all the time. Or did you forget about Violet already?"

"This one's different. I think... I'm really falling for her."

I simply stared at him, raising my eyebrows. "You say that about all of them."

"Argh, why do I even bother talking to you?"

The rest of the period passed by uneventfully. Unfortunately, since it was a Tuesday, I also had lacrosse practice. I went back to my room, eating some chips and watching Netflix until it was time for me to leave.

I walked onto the field, talking to Daniel and doing some stretches until Evans and Jason called us.

"All right everyone, listen up." Evans spoke. "Lacrosse season is getting closer each day, and we're all mostly still out of shape. Everyone is improving, but we're going to need a lot more if we want to win the championship this year. Let's get out there and give it all we got now, yeah?"

The guys clapped once in agreement, and started to play. We split ourselves into teams, with the two captains leading each side. I'd been put on the same team as Evans. Not exactly the best, but anything is better than Jason.
