It was now Friday. The big day. Halloween.

The entire school was all excited about it. Usually, the academy themselves plan a simple get together, with a fancy buffet dinner, spooky, orange decorations and some dancing. However, it was the 'after party' everyone was hyped up about. The one that takes place at the warehouse with drinking, dancing and gross party stuff.

I wasn't interested in going to either of them. Despite my protests, Spencer and Allison convinced me to come for the first one. I really wanted to study so I could spend time with Oliver on Sunday, but they did make some good points. If there was any time to be a high school kid and do such things, it was best to do it at a nice, monitored party where nothing bad can happen. Should be fun, right?

The school day went by okay. When I went into English class today, I was taken aback when I saw Evans sitting at his desk next to mine. With the excitement of Oliver coming and the whole Halloween thing, I'd almost forgotten about him.

I avoided eye contact with him the entire time, both of us remaining silent for the entire period. God, I had no idea what to even say to him after what had happened. It shouldn't be a big fucking deal. I can't help it, though. Not to mention, the way he'd looked at me, and the unmistakable flicker of his eyes towards my lips; I could not forget that. At least Professor Harvey was pleasantly surprised though.

Spencer and I were back in our room now, getting ready for the party. Trying to find a good costume to wear on Halloween is ridiculous. Jackie and I debated doing a couple's costume, but it was hard to agree on one. Finally, we decided to go as Jake and Tricky from the game Subway Surfers. With her blonde hair and my skinny legs, it was kind of perfect.

I changed into my costume, pulling on my cap over my head. Spencer was wearing this ridiculous Mario Kart outfit, that looked way too goofy on him. He seemed to enjoy it though.

"You look like an idiot." I told him. He simply grinned, admiring himself in the mirror. "I look fabulous. The ladies are going to love this."

I rolled my eyes, the two of us walking down to the party together. We met up with Jackie, Allison and Spencer outside the hall. Jackie looked absolutely adorable, with her fake dorky glasses and baggy jeans. Allison and Christian had pretty great costumes too.

"I'm Hermione Granger." Allison beamed. "But I swear to god, if anyone says I'm Parvati Patil, I'm going to lose it."

We walked in through the double doors together, and I audibly gasped.

The place looked absolutely stunning. The entire hall had been completely transformed, with pumpkins, lights, streamers and cut outs of bats. There was a buffet table towards the end of the hall, with the dance floor in the middle and the tables off to one side.

I held my arm out to Jackie, giving her a cheesy smile. "Care to dance, m'lady?"

"Of course, good sir."

We walked on to the dance floor together, swaying to the music. It was a pretty upbeat song, so we didn't slow dance or anything. It was still super fun, the two of us just dancing and laughing for what felt like hours. The deejay finally played a song with a slower tempo, so we danced slower to catch our breath. I put my arms around her waist, and she put hers on my shoulders.

I found myself staring into her eyes, admiring all her features. She's so incredibly beautiful. How could I have ever questioned how I feel about her?

She smiled back at me with a slight confused expression. "What are you thinking about?" She asked.

"Just how beautiful you are."

She blushed, looking away from me in embarassment. God, she's so cute.

"Shut up."
