Daisy
Her eyes stare down into my own, my heart beating at an irregular rate from what I just heard.
"You- you what?" I stutter
"I love you" she says and her shoulders lower as if she just took the weight of the world from her shoulders.
My heart drops.
"N-no, no you don't. Paige you can't just say that"
My arms bend to prop myself up, inching away from Paige's confused face.
"Daisy baby I do, god, I love you"
No she doesn't. She can't.
No one loves me. No one can.
"I- I think I need to leave" I stammer, moving Paige's arm and quickly grabbing my dress from the floor.
"What? Baby no, what's wrong" she's quick to stand from the bed and move in front of me.

Paige
Her dress is halfway on as she tries to get to the bedroom door. My hand flies to her wrist, she spins around, her chest pressed to mine.
"Baby whats wrong, I'm sorry, Daisy I do love you, so much" her eyes begin to water as she looks anywhere but me.
"No, no stop" her hands raise to my chest, trying to push me back away from her. Tears falling from her eyes.
"Daisy, tell me what's wrong, what's going on in that beautiful head of yours?"
"You- you can't just say you love me? That's, well it's just not true! You can't just say that Paige I mean, you don't mean it. I-I'm sorry but this shouldn't have happened, oh god, what's father going to think when he sees me. Paige I'm sorry but-"
"Daisy, what are you talking about? Of course I mean it" I assure
Her wide, tear filled eyes look up at me, "Paige stop.. please, you don't know what you're talking about.. no one's ever l-loved me"
"No Daisy, I mean it, I love you, so much. Everytime I look at you I- I fall in love with you just a little more. I love every bit of you, I love your beautiful blue eyes, your hair, the freckles that cover your cheeks, I love the way you blush when I talk to you. I love how your eyes crinkle when you laugh. Daisy, I love you, and I will prove it any way you want me to." My thumb wipes away a tear that had fallen down her cheek.
"You.. you really think all that about me? You love me..?" She whispers, voice cracking.
"Yes baby, please, I love you so much it hurts" it's quiet , I'm sure if I were to drop a needle it could be heard. Her sniffles fill the silence, a stray tear rolls down her cheek, I kiss where it's fallen.
"I love you Daisy, and I mean it, and I hope you'll love me too."
"O-of course I do" her arms fly around my neck, body pressed to mine as her head falls into the crook of my neck.
"I love you too" she whispers.
A wide smile fills my face, I tightly wrap my arms around her waist, pulling her impossibly closer.
"Don't leave me" her voice is weak and I almost don't hear her. "Of course I won't baby, never. You can't get rid of me"
