I think I'm actually crapping my pants right now.

Paige invited me to her basketball practice and then a team dinner afterwards and we're on our way now.

Which means meeting everyone and talking to them.

That doesn't mean I don't want to meet the people in Paige's life, of course I do, but I'm just nervous is all, extremely nervous.

I mean I'm not in the team so am I even aloud to come to these things? What if they don't like me? Or are weirded out that I'm there or-

"I can feel the gears working overtime in your head baby, what's going on?" She asks, her thumb rubbing soft circles over my thigh.

"Well.. I'm just worried is all"

"About what love?" She strays her eyes from the road to look at me.

"I just wonder.. if they'll be okay with me being there.. I mean it's your guys's practice, it's a team practice and a dinner and I don't know if everyone will want me there I mean-"

"Daisy, they were the ones that asked for you to be there. They all asked me to bring you baby"

My body relaxes, but no matter what, there will always be a nagging feeling in my chest. It will always feel as if there's a small weight just pressing down.

"O-oh, they did? T-they really want me there?"

"Yes, now please don't worry you've already met a lot of them. Everyone will love you I promise okay?" She asks, parking the car and turning her body to me.

I nod giving her a soft smile. Already knowing I'd never hear the end of it if I opened my own door I wait for her to walk around the front and open it herself.

I step two feet in the gym before there's a yell. "Daisy! You're here!"

Kk runs up to us and greets me with a hug. Joining the three of us is Nika and Mia who walk up together. A large smile forms on my face as I wrap my arms around Mia.

"And Mia is going to be joining us too" Paige smiles as I turn to her.

Giving her a smile of appreciation I look to where a large group of girls stand. Swallowing hard I take a step back to stand at Paige's side. "Come on love why don't we go see the other girls yeah?"

Taking my hand in her own we walk towards the group of girls. Recognizing some of the girls I smile remembering the day we had all spent together.

"Hey everyone, this is Daisy. Daisy this is Jana, Qadence, Ashlynn, Caroline, Ayanna, and you've met everyone else" Paige gently moves me infront of her as she introduces everyone.

Smiling I wave. "Hello.. it's really nice to meet you all"

They all say hello, "Paige is always talking bout you, I mean I think we all know everything about you from all she's said" Caroline laughs.

Paige blushes, "shut up I do not"

They all look at her before bursting out into laughter. "Okay okay, Daisy why don't you and Mia go sit down over there while we have practice. Maybe after you and her can join us for a little game" Paige says glaring at her teammates.

I giggle before agreeing. Mia steps beside me locking her arm with mine and we walk to a bench. We get comfortable as we watch the team of athletes make their way onto the court to start with some warm ups.

They pass the ball back and forth, shooting it into the basketball net. A few, what I'm guessing are coaches, come onto the court to work with the girls.

It's mesmerizing as we watch them. Seeing them execute everything flawlessly. They work hard, and it pays off. It's amazing watching them.

Thankfully as Mia and I sit and talk she doesn't bring up the past few weeks. Paige had told me she showed up at the hospital the night everything happened. A few times her and Nika stopped by but they never asked questions, and I'm thankful for that.

Glancing at Paige, my heart warms as I watch her. She's like a whole different person on the court. Her energy fills the room, it makes me happy to see her doing what she loves, what she lives for.

I didn't ever think this could happen to me, where I was content, where I was excited to live.

Everything is just right.
