ETHAN NAKAMURA

EVER SINCE HE EAVESDROPPED ON LUKE AND CHRIS, ETHAN'S LIFE HONESTLY FELT MISERABLE. It felt as though he had this overwhelming responsibility on his shoulder, the weight of the sky that once rested on Atlas' shoulder now thrown onto Ethan. He had this power, this fear, he could wield. One slip up and Luke and Chris would be screwed. At first, Ethan wouldn't lie, it was a bit amusing having this control. He wouldn't pretend he didn't like how nervous he now made Chris, like he held him at ransom no matter what he did. The boy was jittery in every step he took around camp, beaded eyes darting around in fear whenever Ethan simply breathed nearby. For once, Ethan didn't need a weapon to scare someone, he was just aware.

It was funny, watching this older boy look at you with absolute terror simply because you knew his secrets.

It wasn't long before things grew sad. There was this surge of guilt slowly taking a hold of Ethan, reminding him that this surely wasn't correct. Chris was in this situation, helping Kronos with Luke for whatever reason, and now he was supposed to do the same when the time was right (which honestly Ethan did not know what that meant). He was now being tossed into this boat which easily could end with them all being executed for going against the gods.

Ethan just knew Leia would be absolutely terrified that he got caught in this entire mess. She had always been more scared of the past, always skittish at the mention of Kronos consuming his own children.

He used to laugh and say Kronos is long gone, in pieces, deep in Tartarus. That he could never come back because the gods wouldn't let that happen, how no one was stupid enough to try and bring him back.

Now... erm, well, Ethan did not want to imagine what was currently happening with Kronos.

He didn't want this, to help bring Kronos to life, at least. Bringing Kronos to life meant there would be another war, another war his fellow demigods would have to fight, which meant death. Ethan didn't like that, it wasn't fair. Why did they have to fight their parents' wars, like pawns on a chessboard? Was that fair when their parents didn't even answer their prayers?
