LEIA HAD NEVER BEEN ON A TRAIN BEFORE AND IT TOOK A LOT OF COAXING FROM ANNABETH FOR HER NOT TO CRY. When the train began moving, Leia had naturally begun to panic, simply because she had never been in a train carriage before. It sounded stupid, but she really hated new things.

Especially when said new thing was being stuffed in a little box that jolted.

Fast forward and Annabeth had managed to snag some colouring pens and paper for Leia to doodle with. She had been constantly drawing different butterflies, just to keep her mind off the impending doom she felt inside this stupid contraption. She struggled to sleep though, only managing a few power naps on Annabeth's lap in the course of the two days.

Apparently Percy was wanted and his face was everywhere, so he was clearly nervous for the entire journey. He had found an article with a picture of his face and apparently it was all about him being some mad assaulter of the elderly.

(Leia held back from cheering knowing she was correct that they would be done for the assault on the furies).

Honestly, most of the journey was dedicated to just doodling. It got to the point where her pages were filled and Leia resorted to drawing designs of butterflies on her hands. Sometimes she would look up and see a few butterflies fluttering near the window. It seemed wherever she went, a butterfly was nearby ready to cling to her. It always made her excited, whisper-yelling for Percy, Annabeth and Grover to look. Though, when they did, the butterflies would always be gone and they'd go back to whatever they were doing (for Grover, it was sleeping).

Thankfully, they only made it to Denver when they had to get off. Leia was more than happily to get out of the train carriage, though Leia still couldn't sleep in the sleeper-car. She couldn't doodle either, so she murmured to herself to keep herself occupied.

Grover kept snoring and bleating and waking Percy up, who always grumbled on how annoying all of this was. Once, he shuffled around and his fake foot fell off. It somehow took three people to get his fake feet back on, a wonder which Leia didn't really want to uncover.
