Leashes. Here we are, at the end, finally! Honestly, this kinda put a lump in my throat and I got all sad about this finally ending. I started it last year in August, rewrote everything about it. But here it is, finally at the end and it kind of hurts my heart. I can't believe that this is done with and I'll be moving on to the final fic in this series. I never expected the first to gain so much love and I never expected this to gain so much love either. I love to hear when there's hidden fans of this! The lurkers and ones who make themselves more well known are all appreciated! It's weird that this is over and the series as a whole will be ending soon. I don't know what I'll do with myself once this is is over over but I'll think about it when I get there! Thank you all, really and truly, for showing this so much love. I hope that you all continue to enjoy and show it love even now that it's over! I hope that anyone who comes across it grows to adore this little series as well! I hope to see familiar, old, and new names in the next fic! I don't know how soon the third fic will be up but just know I'll be hard at work writing the first chapter of it! But until then I'm gong to take a tiny break and work on other stuff! I hope that you all enjoy this last chapter and I'll be back soon! Until we meet again ❤️

Shouta had always loved a good downpour. It was one thing he loves the most about summer time; the impromptu downpours and rainy weather that was always chilled. Always combatting the humidity in the air. There was something unbelievably nice smelling the o-zone and the wet dirt with it's earthy smell of petrichor that followed a rain storm. While his husband adored his bright, sunny day he had to admit there was something calming about a rainy day. Something that allowed him to breathe out a heavy sigh.

That allowed him to simply be when the rain was pouring, leaving everyone trapped at home. With chores and tasks being completed throughout the day without needing to leave the house. It was a calming day that he found himself looking forward to and something his husband dreaded only due to the fact he knew his husband wanted to ride his bike more. But he couldn't deny that there was an overall cozy feeling when it came to the stormy days that left them trapped in the house with outside tasks being limited.

Chores outdoors being reduced to "absolutely necessary". There was something so nice about curling up together with the ac shut off as the cool breeze fluttered through the windows that was unbelievably nice. About sitting in his husband's lap while he played with his silky soft blonde locks. Twirling them around his fingers while they watched the news to see how long the rain would persist. In having hands sliding over his back gently as he melted into his husband's chest for the afternoon as they listened to the rain together.

He's had many rainy days that were memorable to him. Playing in it until his lips turned blue when he visited his biological father. Playing in the rain when his sister would beg him as she stood in her bathing suits. Running about the rain until he was returning inside for something hot to warm him up. As he grew, he found himself admiring the rain storms rather than running about in them. To sit and watch the pouring rain became something of a comfort to him. It always had the muscles relaxing in his back.

They worked to soothe him. There was something about rainy days that felt different. How the lights seemed brighter to him and the world softer. Darker. He couldn't deny that he had his reasons for adoring rainy days and for hating them. But he couldn't deny that a good rain storm that could turn into a thunderous one? It was the best. The deep rumbles that came from a distance that he could listen to for hours. But what he adored more than anything was late nights when the rain was striking the windows of their home.

When he got to listen to it pounding on the ground leaving them with dew drops in the early morning light. Even their daughter seemed to have an appreciation for rainy days and a desire to put her boots and rain coat on to jump in muddy puddles and rain puddles until she was tired out and put into a warm bath to warm her frigid skin. There was something about seeing those red eyes glistening up at him with the wide smile of absolute awe as she was allowed to run about in the rain warmed his heart.
