Yato's P.O.V:
I wanted to get away from my past. I was ashamed of it.
After all, I am not one for violence. I just want to lead on a path of happiness, and Medusa made it so that path ends right here.
The way that those amber and (e/c) eyes looked at me made me know that I was never going to get away from my past, something that was a reoccuring lesson for all three of us.
You have to ignore it, or embrace it.I stood alone, facing the giant phantom Medusa had unleashed upon me. It was a bit much to be honest, to send this giant thing after little old me.
I felt the connection of energy between me and Yukine surging through my hands, as I gripped the handle of his katana tightly.
"Listen, Yukine, I'm sorry. It was selfish of me.. bringing you and (Y/n) into this." I said, scanning my environment preparing myself for the right time to attack.
"Its fine. Just... if something happens to me, take care of (Y/n) okay..?" Yukine said rather out of character.
He would usually crack a joke, or be determined to defeat our opponent, but he seemed worried this time. He must've really cared for her.
"Don't let that damned witch touch her. If she wants revenge let her take it out on me, not her." Yukine said sternly, sharpening his blade.
"I'm not going to let her hurt any of us..." I said, gritting my teeth.
Though I tried to make what I had previously just said true in my mind, we both knew it wasn't.
"Help her find the rest of her past. I know thats what she wants most." Yukine said one last sentence before I shut my eyes to prevent from crying. Not now. Not in front of him.
Here I am, trying to give this kid a second chance at life, and its being taken away from him again.
I growled, pressing my feet into the concrete and pushing myself into the air.
"MEDUSSA!!!" I screamed her name into the air, jumping off the side of a building, and striking the beast with the sharpened blade of the katana.
Its screech echoed throughout
the city via very powerful wave lengths.
I pressed my body against its currents, trying to walk against it, but it only resulted in me getting knocked to the ground.
I tried rising up, but my body was slammed back against the ground, by a sleek black highheel materializing out of thin air.
"How does it feel to have your regalia ripped out of your hands, Yato?" She asked me through gritted teeth and a smirk.
Her high heel pressed harder into chest, making it difficult to breathe.
I glinted into her cat like purple eyes. Though the aura they gave off was all but unfamiliar. Full of hatred for the past, hatred for me. Damn it, I'm such a fool.
"You had me there for a bit, Bishamon." I said, chuckling a bit through my coughs from struggling to breathe.
Her eyes lowered, as she pulled the red wig off, letting her long blonde locks fall to the ground.
"I was wondering how long it would take you to figure out that it was truly me. You're more of an idiot than I took you for." She said, her heel pressing even deeper into my chest.
"You sure had me convinced though, with the whole phantom possesion and everything. The red hair, too. How'd you learn to do that by the way?" I said as if I was joking around with an old friend. "Its not hard to impersonate my own sister.. and who said we never had the same capabilities?" Bishamon said coldly, as she raised her hand into the air.
The phantom conked its head down, one of its paws coming down to crush me.
I quickly grabbed the handle of Yukine's katana, rolling from underneath the impact of the paw, and quickly rising back to my feet.
I stood face to face with Bishamon, her face now only bearing the same cold look.
"You're a terrible god. You killed my sister, her regalia, and not just that, but my own regalia too. How do you live with yourself? You're scum. You're pathetic."
"Things are different now, Bishamon. Its not that I wanted to kill off-"
"Its too late for excuses, Yato." She said raising her hand once again, her gigantic saw like sword appearing in her hand at one command.
"I want you to know what its like to lose a regalia." She said rising her arms, and knocking Yukine's katana out of my hands.
She kicked it to the out of my reach, as I looked on at her in fear.
She brought the blade harshly down upon me, as I prepared for impact.
But that impact never came.
My eyes widened, as I realized that Yukine had jumped in front of me, taking the impact.
Yukine risked his life for me..
I wanted time to stop. To replay, so that he didn't choose to do this.
But it still happened, and the young boy's body was shattered to bits right before my eyes.
"Y-Y-y.." I couldn't even bare to let his name escape my lips.
I was in utter shock, as I looked on at Bishamon in utter hatrid.
She seemed to be unregretful, having no mercy upon me.
She picked up Yukine's blade broken in half, throwing it far away from us.
"I'm not done yet, Yato. I still want the girl." Bishamon glared at me with imaginary daggers.
"I'll be dead before you find her." I said, spitting at her feet, my saliva landing on the toe of her black highheeled boot.
That was Yukine's dying wish. But whether or not if it was his wish, (Y/n) is still my regalia. No one will lay a hand on her.
Bishamon growled at me, her pupils centered in her sickly purple eyes turning into demon like slits.
"So be it." She said before bringing the blade down again.

Your P.O.V.:
You picked up Yukine's blade in shambles, pressing the cool metal against your cheek. Your tears ran against the metal, as every single memory you had with him ran through your mind endlessly.
It made you wonder, what was the point of going on with this life?
"We were supposed to find our pasts together," you sobbed into the blade.
"You were the one person I had left.." you said, staring delicately into the reflection the broken blade gave off.
You were a mess, snot running down from your nose and tears staining your face.
Your once flawless (s/c) had lost its color, as you dawned an eery paleness. Even your hair lost its vibrance, limply hanging in its ponytail.
You directed a shard of the blade at heart, preparing to impale yourself.
You were sure the pain was going to be equally as difficult as the pain of losing him was.
Suddenly, the symbol of Yukine's name glowed over both you and the shattered blade brightly, as every piece of the katana rose in the air, collecting back together like a puzzle.
It began to morph back together, gently recreating itself.
It meant.. Yukine hadn't given up after all.
Before it finished, it split into two katanas wrapped in bandages, before they both fell back into your hands softly.
You were confused, millions of questions running through your cluttered mind.
The blades began to glow in a familiar white aura, as they slowly faded into the silhouette of the boy you thought was gone forever.
And like magic, Yukine appeared right before you, in his green jacket with fur on the hood, and that plain old t-shirt he favored wearing, and green pants.
You couldn't believe it. No, you wouldn't believe it. He stared at you sadly, as you sat there on the ground on your knees.
How was this even possible?
You looked up at him in disbelief.
Those messy golden tufts of hair, those sunset eyes that you loved staring into, you thought it was all gone.
Rather than saying the millions of things you wanted to, you rose from the ground your body was previously glued to, and collided into his arms.
He hugged you tightly, seemingly not wanting to let you go.
And neither did you.
"Please.. please don't ever leave me again.." you cried into his shoulder, inhaling his scent.
He smelled fresh, like a fresh load of laundry.
You didn't know what to think.
Your face was covered in slobber and tears, though you didn't care.
You wanted desperately to be happy that Yukine was alive, but how could you be?
He literally resurrected himself right in front of you, and you found his 'dead body'.
It all happened so fast, and it was all out of your control.
How the hell could you be happy if there was a possibility of something like this happening to him again?
"We..we...have to go help Yato before I can explain anything." Yukine said softly into your hair.
But he then harshly grabbed onto your hand, looking into your eyes with a serious expression.
"I need you to promise me something (Y/n)," He said, as you nodded slowly.
"If something ever happens to me again, don't you dare go ending your own life. Not over me. You deserve to live, and thats not what I want." He said, his eyes welling up with tears though none would fall. You didn't know what you were thinking when you pointed that blade at your chest.
You felt so hopeless, as if you had no reason to live anymore. That's how much you loved Yukine, that you couldn't live without him.
You sighed, squeezing his hand in yours.
Even though he was slightly shorter than you, even though he was a bit stubborn sometimes, you wouldn't give that up for the world. So you had to appeal to what he wanted from you.
"I promise."Soo that was a long first chapter right guys? I know you guys need plenty of an explanation after the large cliffhanger that I left you guys on. Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed it! You deserve it after all that anticipation ( ^ω^)
Expect the next chapter to be up within a week.
I love you guys!!- Drama Typhoon
