Chapter Thirty

He's not coming for me.

I'm convinced no one is.

How long has it been since anyone came in? My stomach growls again. God, what I would do for just another dry sandwich.

The water bottle still laid on the floor across the room. Taunting me. I curse every time I see it, knowing it's only over there because I couldn't control my anger. I knew the water bottle wouldn't do much damage if it did hit him. Yet, I still threw it.

I can hear Xander scolding me for throwing my only source of water.

I miss him.

That painful twist in my heart happens again at the thought that I might not see him again.

It had to have been a couple days by now. If everything went smoothly at the border he has to be on his way back to the castle.

Then again, I can't see Felix going easy. He probably has an army of people over there keeping everyone busy.

I force myself to stand and stretch my aching muscles. I have to pee so bad. I don't know why, it's not like I've had any liquid in my system.

I debate on screaming for someone. Would they care?

It's worth a shot.

I start pacing, if only to calm my nerves. I didn't want to get their attention. I don't want them to ever walk through that door again.

But I have to pee.

I sigh, blowing out a long breath. I face the door and cup my hands around my mouth to try and sound louder. "Hello-" I cough, my throat is so dry. "Hello!" I manage to yell before coughing again.

I wait a few seconds. Silence. I groan and decide to yell out, "Cyrus!"

The door clicks and I jump back from the sudden noise. It's been so quiet the sound fills the small room loudly.

The door swings open and in walks the man who betrayed me, with an annoying smile plastered across his face.

"Princess-"

"I have to pee."

"Do you?" He tilts his head to the side, "Well, you know what you have to do to get out of the chains."

"Cyrus..." I didn't know what to say. I have to pee!

He lets out a breath, "You're lucky, Felix stepped out." He closes the distance between us quickly. I stumble back a step and he grabs my left wrist to keep me close. "Don't get any ideas." His blue eyes pierce through me as he reaches behind me and with a click he disconnects the chains from the wall.

"You're lucky I was here. Rex and Dorian can't undo your chains." He says as if I should be grateful. Dorian must've been the no named guy that was in here with them for a few minutes. I wonder what his job is in this whole thing.

I roll my eyes but wait for orders to move. He reaches down and grabs the two chains hanging on the ground from my wrists and wraps them around my body, before clasping it against my back. "A bit much." I comment.

He scuffs, "I know how you are when you aren't restrained." He grabs my upper arm and drags me to the door.

"Being restrained won't stop me." I glace at his broken nose. I wonder why he hasn't had Felix heal it for him yet. It has to be killing him. I bite back a smile, I hope he is in pain.

"I'm aware. But at least I don't have to try to catch you."

I don't say anything. This is my time to figure my way out of here. I'll probably never get another chance out of that room again to figure out the layout of this place.
