"Yes, ma'am, thank you for understanding. Yeah, I'll be there," I sighed with relief after ending the call with Mrs. Seo Da-Mi. Yesterday was a hectic day and I couldn't deliver her order. I had a few other deliveries to do, so I explained the terrible situation I faced. Of course, I didn't give her much detail about my unexpected encounter with the "troublemaker maknae" aka Jeon Jungkook.
However, I need to deliver the pastries today.
"Yahhhh, Yn! Have you forgotten about the assignment we need to complete? The holidays are gonna end soon. You wanna graduate or not? When are we planning our group study?" my bestie, Nenec chimed.
"I'll let you know, Nenec," I replied wearily, "Ra-Mi and I are both swamped with bakery work. With Joonha and the delivery guy missing, all the pressure is on us."
"I understand," she said sympathetically.
"By the way, what happened to your forehead? How did you get this purple bruise?"
Wish I could tell her that the chief troublemaker of the purple world gifted this bruise to me– the purple ARMY.
"Oh, I accidentally bumped my forehead on the door."
"Yn, you should take care of yourself."
"I will, Nenec. Don't worry."
Nenec stood up and came over to side-hug me, offering comfort. I smiled at her warmly.
Ra-Mi, Nenec, and I have been best friends since middleschool. The three of us also go to the same high school. Nenec is the sweetest chubby cheeks, while Ra-Mi is most likely the extrovert one. Ra-Mi is also a co-worker at the bakery and Nenec is just here for company sometimes.
"Hey, babe! How was yesterday?" Ra-Mi chimed in, "You went to HYBE for a delivery, right? Did something happen? Did you meet any idol? Kim Taehyung, maybe?" she asked, a teased glint in her eyes.
"I don't think she did. If she did, she would have talked our ears off about how she met him, how beautiful and ethereal he looks in person–" Nenec stopped her rant when she noticed me glaring at her while aggressively slicing a loaf with a sharp knife.
"I– I mean she would have definitely told us if she met him, haha, yeah," Nenec added nervously.
"I wonder what I'd do if I ever met Jeon Jungkook," Ra-Mi said while daydreaming about her bias.
If only she knew what a horrible experience I had with him.
"He's so handsome, I think I'd faint immediately if I ever met him," she exclaimed dramatically with a gasp.
Well, not only fainting, darling. Even dying is possible cause I WAS ON THE VERGE OF DYING BECAUSE OF HIM YESTERDAY! F*gking hell!
I didn't tell them anything about yesterday's encounter because I know they would make an unnecessary fuss about it. Drama queens!
