JUNGKOOK'S POV

I looked closely and saw that the girl was Yn. She stood there wearing a beautiful babypink floral dress, her hair tied with a matching bowclip.

How come I find her everywhere I go? Plus, every time something bad happens to me, she's the reason for it.

I decided to ignore her presence and go on my way. But I was also feeling bad for not helping her. That 5 feet 2 inch will be jumping to get her cat forever if someone doesn’t help her. I took fast steps towards her and asked, "Need help?" while looking at the white Persian cat sitting lazily on a tree branch.

"Umm, can you bring my cat down, please? That would be really kind of you," she said with hesitation. She didn't recognize me for sure, since my helmet is still on.

I stood on my toes and caught the mischievous cat, then gave it to her.

"Thank you, thank you so much, oppa," she said, bowing at a 90-degree angle.

"Yah, I'm not your oppa!" I whisper yelled. She straighthened up and stared at me for a few seconds. Suddenly, her eyes widened.

"Jeon-ssi, that's yo—" Before she could finish her sentence, I put my palm over her mouth."Shut up! Are you crazy? You don't need to announce it to the whole world!" She nodded her head with puppy eyes, and I slowly let her go.

"Why are you here?" she asked in a whisper.

"Why do you think people come to a park? For a walk, of course."

"Right. Let's take a walk together," she proposed. Well, not a bad idea. I could use some company, so I agreed.

We walked in the park in silence, a few couples passing by, blissfully laughing together and enjoying their moments. I couldn't help but drift back into my thoughts.

"Can you take a picture of me there, please?" asked the brunette beside me, pulling me out of my reverie. She pointed towards the small pond with fountains.

"Sure," I acquiesced.

She handed me her phone and stood on the grass in front of the pond, the cat in her arms. She started posing for the camera and I started clicking her pictures.

I clicked the final picture of Yn, her bright smile barely visible from where I stood. Then I walked over to show her the shots. She seemed pleased, as she took her phone in one hand and held her cat Estella with the other.

"Well, the shots are really nice. You're an amazing photographer, I must admit," she said, her praise fueling my ego. If she could see my smirk under the helmet, she'd probably roll her eyes.

And then suddenly Estella, the little furball, suddenly launched herself out of Yn’s hold, mid-air like some Olympic diver aiming straight for the pond. Yn’s screamed immediately, "Yahhhh, Estellaaaa!" She dropped her phone on the ground, and in a moment of pure panic, lunged for the cat.

I swear I could hear dramatic slow-motion music in the background as I yelled, "Hey, don't!"

But it was too late. I tightly held her hand, trying to stop her, and then—

SPLASH!

There we were, soaked, sitting in the shallow pond. Estella, of course, was chilling by the edge like a mischievous mastermind watching her perfect plan unfold.

I sat there for a second, processing the fact that I was drenched, not because of my own foolishness, but because she couldn’t let her cat fall into a pond that barely reached our knees. A rush of frustration surged through me. This girl. Every time I’m around her, something goes wrong. I'm tired of her already!
