[At HYBE Building]
YOUR POV
I walked down the corridor with a delivery box in my hands. I'm definitely looking like a monkey right now because of the way I'm sulking, I'm sure.
"Where are you, Je-on-ssiii?" I cannot help grumbling under my breath, my eyes darting around in search of the one man I'm secretly yearning to see. Wait! Before you assume something else little heartu, I just want to apologise to him, I thought to myself patting my chest.
"Guess I'm not unlucky enough today to bump into the troublemaker," I muttered with a resigned sigh.
Finally I reached the last cabin and knocked on the door, entering when I heard a brief 'Come in.'
"Here's your Americano Doyun-ssi." I announced with a polite smile.
I stepped further into the room and stood beside him offering him the drink. But when I glanced at the man sitting across him on another couch, I froze. Jungkook sat there, his focus on the file in his hands. He wore a fitted black turtleneck that hugged his lean frame, the sleeves casually pushed up to his elbows, exposing the veins that ran down his forearms. A black baseball cap sat atop his head, its brim casting a shadow over his eyes, adding a devilish handsome look on his expression. He looked at me for a split second before giving his attention back to the file in his hand.
"Oh! Thank you, Yn," Mr. Moon said, getting up from the couch. "Jungkook, wait here. I'll be right back." And with that, he slipped out, leaving the two of us alone.
Jungkook looked at me again, confusion etched on his face. "Why are you standing there like a... weird statue? Isn't your work done here?" he asked, one eyebrow raised.
I remained still on my spot, my feet seemingly glued to the floor, hands clutched together, as I stared at him with doe eyes. I wanted to apologise but now that he's in front of me, I just lost my voice.
Jungkook sighed, stood up, and pushed both hands in his jeans pockets walking over to me. "Stop staring at me like you're gonna-"
"Are you mad at me?" I blurted out without thinking twice, interrupting him mid-sentence.
"Huh?" he furrowed his brows.
"I mean... I just wanted to know why you stopped coming to the bakery?" I asked, my eyes locking onto his. Jungkook blinked, clearly taken aback. Then, slowly, a sly grin spread across his face.
"Oh, did you miss me that much? Hmm?" he teased, taking steps forward.
"Yes! I mean, no. Look, I mean that eve-" I started stammering nervously fixing my white baseball cap while my feet involuntarily moved backward.
Gosh! I'm already nervous why is he making me more!!!
Jungkook scoffed like an absolute idiot. He leaned in closer, placing a hand on the wall beside my head, literally caging me in. "I knew it from the beginning. Just admit it... you like me," he whispered, slightly tilting his head to the side.
While I stood there, mouth agape, every thought flying out of my head like panicked birds.
AUTHOR'S POV
At that exact moment, Mr. Moon opened the door, his head peeked through. He blinked once, twice, taking in the sight of Jungkook pinning Yn against the wall, his eyes widened in horror. Jungkook's head tilted covering Yn's face in a way, anybody would assume a kissing session is going on in here. He slowly shut the door and left as if a criminal escaping a crime scene.
