[At the Sanchon Restaurant]
YOUR POV
As we reached the restaurant, Joonha pushed open the glass door, holding it for me to slip inside first and he followed closely.
"Yn! Over here!" Nenec's cheerful voice cut through the gentle hum of conversations. I turned to my left, spotting her already seated at a table with Ra-Mi, both of them waving us over.
"Hey! I hope we're not too late," I greeted, striding toward them. Joonha followed as we both took seats across from Nenec and Ra-Mi.
"No, it's fine! We just got here a few minutes ago," Nenec reassured.
I placed the bouquet I was carrying on the table, right in front of me. But just as I settled in, I noticed Ra-Mi who's sitting across from Joonha, her expression is strangely reserved. She is quiet-too quiet for her usual self.
Her gaze fixed on Joon, watching him as he tapped away at his phone. Then her eyes drifted to the bouquet in front of me.
When our eyes met, she jolted, quickly wiping away the hint of whatever emotion had saddened her face, replacing it with her usual bright grin.
"Hey! That's a huge bouquet! And look-your favorite flowers!" she exclaimed showing some excitement but her voice dropped ever so slightly as she asked, "So, who got you this bouquet?"
"Oh, um..." I hesitated, feeling a slight flutter of anticipation. "I met Jeon-ssi today. He gave it to me."
"WHAT?" Both girls gasped in unison. I jumped, startled, and glanced around at the nearby tables, my cheeks heating up under the curious stares that turned our way.
"Shhh! You idiots, keep it down!" I hissed, leaning in, glancing nervously over my shoulder. "You're drawing unnecessary attention!"
They both stifled their excitement and Ra-Mi leaned forward, her voice now lowered but still brimming with curiosity. "You met him? Out of the blue? How? Details, spill it!"
"I just ran into him at the art studio," I shrugged, trying to sound casual, though my heart hasn't quite settled since our encounter. "He said he was there to meet someone... It's just a coincidence."
"Oh, please!" Nenec shot back with an eye roll. "Coincidence, my foot! He was there for you, and you're just too dense to see it."
I chuckled nervously, brushing it off. "Yeah, like his whole world revolves around me," I joked, but I couldn't help feeling a flicker of warmth at the thought.
"Maybe it does," Ra-Mi teased, a mischievous smirk curling her lips. "Think about it. If he was meeting someone else, why did he give you that bouquet? Who meets someone else and just hands over their flowers to a random person they run into?"
I opened my mouth to counter her, but no words came. Her logic is surprisingly... sound.
Could it really be that he'd gone there just to see me?
My mind swirled, and I felt a strange rush of warmth, butterflies stirring low in my stomach at the thought. But I quickly shooed them away. Cause I don't wanna be delusional. There's no way their assumptions are right.
Catching a faint mutter beside me, I turned my head towards the person. "Did you say something, Joon?" I asked.
Joonha quickly straightened, smoothing his expression he gave me a soft smile. "No, nothing. Umm..how about we order some food first? We can talk later."
I nodded. "Yeah. You guys quickly decide on what you wanna eat, okay. I'd like to use the restroom first,"I said before slipping out of there and heading towards the restroom, trying to keep my steps calm, even though my heart is racing a little faster than usual.
