YOUR POV
It's late, far later than I'd expected as I made my way home, the snow crunched softly beneath my boots. I am one of the last to leave the workshop this late today. The art piece had taken longer than I anticipated, but at least the result left me satisfied.
While walking, my gaze drifted to my right, at the empty park. With a weary sigh, I walked towards the park and slumped onto one of the empty benches.
"I'm so tired," I exclaimed, exhausted. The words came out a bit muffled because of the mask covering my mouth. Masks have become my constant companions. They shield me from the piercing, judgmental gazes of those who recognize me.
Me-the girl from that viral video, now tagged as Jeon Jungkook's secret girlfriend.
Ever since the video surfaced, a flood of people has started coming to my bakery. Some came out of curiosity, while others visited just to insult me.
HYBE might have labeled it a rumor, but it did little to silence the whispers, the judgment, and the cruel remarks that followed me."There's no way Jungkook actually likes her."
"Another fake fan trying to worm her way into his life. She's probably obsessed with him."
"He deserves someone better. She's just ruining his image by being around him."
"She must have done something shady to get close to him. No way she got there on her own."
"She looks like she's trying too hard to be someone she's not. It's embarrassing."
"Does she really think she can keep up with someone like Jungkook? He's out of her league."
The weight of their whispers and cruel comments has been slowly crushing me, bit by bit. When would it stop? Would it ever stop?
My gaze drifted upwards to the stars, twinkling in the distant heavens, indifferent to the chaos below. I stretched out both my hands towards them, as though reaching for some form of comfort, a connection.
"Mumma... please, take me to you and Appa," I whispered, the words falling soft and broken. "I'm so tired of this... of the backlash, the cruelty. This world is so very cruel." My voice cracked under the weight of it all. "Please, take me to the peaceful heaven where you and Appa are." With a heavy sigh, I let my hands fall back into my lap.
JUNGKOOK'S POV
Cars rushed by as the streets buzzed with activity. Soft light from nearby stores cast a warm glow, illuminating the pavement. The hum of traffic and flickering signs gave the scene a vibrant energy.
I'm seated in the driver's seat of my brand new dark grey Bentley Bentayga. My hands rested firmly on the steering wheel, and my eyes locked on Yn as I watched her through the blacked-out windshield of my car.
I've been following her for a while now, from her workshop to her home. Have I become a stalker? The thought has crossed my mind more than once. But no, this can't be stalking. I just wanted to make sure she reaches home safely, especially since she works late into the evening.
Or perhaps that's what I tell myself to justify these late-evening drives.
I drove slowly as I kept just enough distance to not be too obvious of what I'm doing. Yn walked through the sidewalk, passing by the stores. Then, she stopped by a empty park and slumped down onto a bench. I parked at a distance, careful not to draw her attention, my gaze never leaving her.
