A yawn escaped me as I plopped onto the bed, ready to drift into my dreamland when my phone buzzed on the bedside table.

With a frown, I reached for it, flipping onto my back as I unlocked the screen.

The notification blinked at me. My brows furrowed as I read it.

Goosebumps rose on my skin at the words glowing on my screen. I stared at the screen for a minute and the more I stare, the more unsettling it felt to me.

Should I ignore it? Or should I reply and see who was behind these words?

The logical side of me screamed to just forget it, to block the account and go to sleep. But my curiosity gnawed at me.

After a long, tense moment, I gave in. My fingers hovered over the screen before typing a response.
