Chapter 22:

(Andrew POV) -Enchancia-

I was finishing packing everything up. I wouldn't be back home for a while, at least until Wesalia, but with Chivalry Hall they might decide that we need to stay longer. I might get a day off here and there but, Chivalry Hall is purposefully far away from everything and there entrance to the Well is a days journey in and of itself. In other words, I once I went away to school it would be almost a year without seeing any members of my family or Amara.

I heard a knock on my door and turned and saw Dad standing there, "Hey are you ready?" I looked back at my trunk, "Almost." He came into my room and sat down on my bed and I sat down next to him. "Haven't seen much of you recently. I have a feeling I would have had better luck if I was in Tangu." I looked down at my lap and he just shoved my shoulder, "I had a feeling. How is she taking it? You going back to school?" I shrugged, "We have talked about it. We both know that we won't be able to see each other for a while. I think that it is going to be alright." Dad nodded his head, "You know that I wasn't courting your Mom when I was at Chivalry Hall so I don't really have any advice in regards to that, but what I do know is that it is not going to be easy. If you are trying to maintain a courtship when you won't be able to see each other for long periods of time while you are both training and going to school. It is going to be extremely difficult." I nodded my head, I knew this but it was still strange to hear it out loud. "Yeah, I know. I'm going to miss her. All of you," I added as I looked up at Dad.

He slung his arm over my shoulder, "Please you probably can't wait to get a break from Ella and... her music lessons." I stifled a laugh as I looked up at Dad. Ella had recently decided that since I was going to be a knight like Dad she was going to be a performer like Mom. There was only one problem... Ella could not sing. Dad shuddered as he thought about her practicing. I then looked him over again and realized that he was in his travel armor, "You are being sent out on a mission, aren't you?" He sighed, "I leave tonight." I nodded my head, "How did Ella and Mom take it?" He shrugged, "You know your Mom, she is going to be worried and siting on that balcony every night until I come home. Ella took it about as well as you did when you were 10, worried about me but not making too big of a deal knowing that I will come home soon." I thought that over in my head for a moment. "So she locked herself in her room again?" I asked. "Yeah, pretty much." We both laughed a little. "Speaking of your sister..." "I will go try and coax her out of her room to say goodbye." He patted my shoulder, "Yeah, you are your Mom's son." I smiled at the comment, "I take after my Dad too." He shoved my shoulder as I left my room to go talk to Ella.

(Amara POV) -Tangu-

I looked over everything that I had prepared for the school year. I was planning on graduating a year early so I could start learning under my parents to be Queen and I needed to increase the course load to do this. I needed everything to be perfect before I went to school. Neither of my parents went to Everton and they are both great rulers but, I think that I need this to be the best Queen possible. I would have more responsibility within the kingdom this year along with my coursework and I wasn't sure how that was going to work. With all the work I had to do and Andrew going away to Chivalry Hall I wasn't looking forward to the incoming future as much as I should have.

"Can I come in?" I turned and saw Dad leaning in the doorway. I smiled, "Yeah, Dad come in." He came in and saw everything that was laid out, "Looks like you have everything ready." I nodded my head, "I just want everything to be..." "Perfect." He finished. I nodded my head, "Yeah, you get that from your Mom." He pulled over a chair and sat down. I cleared a spot and sat down next to him, "And what did I get from you?" He thought about it for a moment, "According to your Mom, everything else." We both laughed for a moment, "So I have been seeing less and less of you around the castle. Is there a certain knight-in-training to blame?" I looked down at my lap and he sighed, "Your Mom is never going to let me live this down." "What?" I asked and he shook his head, "Never mind, so how are things going?" I could tell Dad felt awkward about this conversation but, I still appreciated the effort. "Things are fine. We are both just getting ready to go back to school. We probably won't be able to see each other for a while," I got a bit wistful as I added the last part and it didn't go unnoticed.
