Chapter 29:

(Andrew POV) -Riding to Enchancia-

I had to clear my head but that was going to hard. I knew that I couldn't do this anymore it had gone way too far and I wasn't going to let everyone I cared about including Amara continue to be hurt because of it. I couldn't change who I am and I couldn't change who she is but she seem to believe otherwise and I couldn't live like that.

-Chivalry Hall-

I leaned my head against the backboard of my bunk exhausted from training. I needed to keep fighting, to keep moving, to keep pushing, it was the only way I could make it through the day. The holidays were drawing near and my class was being dismissed and given a week at home before we were expected to come back. I wanted to go back, I missed everyone. I just wished I knew what I was coming back to. I had not heard from anyone in so long.

I don't know what happened of why. I was the only one who stopped receiving letters, so I knew it wasn't the school. Was Amara mad at me? What happened with Ella? If I wasn't on the brink of exhaustion I would go back into the training room and start sparring again. I let my eyes close as I heard someone come in, "Mail Call." I didn't even bother to sit up at this point, there wasn't going to be anything for me. The person made their way down the rows of bunks calling out the names of people who got mail, "Winslow." I shot up as he tossed a bundle at the foot of my bed. I picked it up and saw a few envelopes bundled together and ruffled through themI looked through them again and didn't see anything from Amara, they were all from Ella.

Mom had apparently started another show recently but, Dad was not going on any missions for the time being. He always went to Mom's opening nights and he promised to take Ella with him. She had asked me if I could see about getting off for it because it would be great for Mom. She had been spending a lot of time with Emma and Mia (no surprise there) and a new friend named Jamie. In her later letters Amara's name came up. Apparently Ella hadn't seen Amara in a while either. I found this strange because they both said that they would look out for the other while I was gone. Apparently Ella had tried to arrange a few things but, Amara wasn't able to make any of them. I thought to myself how her schedule was made by her assistant.

Ella,

Glad to finally hear from you, it has been a while since I have received any mail. I am happy that Mom is doing another show and even more happy that Dad is going to be home with you while she is prepping. I will see what I can do about getting off for opening night and we will see what will happen. I am glad that you are branching out and making new friends and I can't wait to meet this Jamie. Did you meet her at school? Doesn't matter just curious.

Hey kiddo, I am going to ask you to do me a favor. I know that you said that you have been having trouble scheduling something with Amara and I just have a few questions for you. Have you been talking to Amara about scheduling it or have you been talking to her assistant? Has Mom talked with Aunt Hildegard recently, maybe they can help you?

If you are able to figure something out and can see her can you find out if she is mad at me. Before I left we had a disagreement about something. I thought that we were fine, but then she didn't come to see me off. I got some letters from her at first and then nothing. I don't know if I am being paranoid or something but, I am getting worried.

Ok enough about that. I hope that everyone is ok, and I can't wait to see you. I should be home in time for Wassalia and we can spend the entire holiday driving Dad crazy like we used to when we were kids. Love you all.

Andrew

I sent it out immediately and just had to wait to hear news. I also sent out a letter to Amara but, I wasn't holding out hope that she would answer. A few days passed and I got a letter back from Ella.
