"Come here, sweets." The older woman spoke. Her voice softened as soon as she saw the woman she loved in all her glory. Dressed as a small replica of herself. Her long, black hair pulled into two braids down the length of her back, decorated with her light pink hat. She wore her girlfriend's jeans and a tank top, light brown boots dressed her feet. "You wanna be me so bad, baby." The blonde chuckled.

"Not true. I look cute and you look dirty. I'm playin' my part." She tilted her head and smiled her dimpled smile.

"And yet, ya still wear my jeans. I hope you put the others back where ya found'em?" She questioned softly, wrapping an arm around the young woman before her. When she didn't answer, Beyoncé's brow rose. "Onika..."

"Don't worry, honeybee, I put everything back nice and neat." She smiled, but soon she shook her head in disbelief. "I can't believe I just said that."

"Believe it. You're turnin' into a little me. Should've known when I bought you them boots." The blonde laughed at the memory. She kissed her girlfriend's forehead before turning around and continuing on with her yard work.

"It's a damn shame. I used to be the definition of a mess, but you really changed the way I lived. Got me labeling shit and everything. You know, I really gotta love you to be doing all this wife stuff."

Beyoncé lifted a stack of hay and then threw it over the fence for her horses. She wiped her hands on her jeans with a smile. "That's good to know, sweet pea," she turned around, picking Onika up and sitting her on the fence. "You love me and I love you, too."

"You wanna be my wife?" The shorter woman questioned curiously.

She shrugged. "I might say yes... it's not decided."

"Mhm. You don't really have a choice, but okay." Onika wrapped her arms around Beyoncé's neck, bringing her down into a loving kiss.

Even though it wasn't a big conversation, the thought of marriage was something that reoccurred frequently after the matter.

The times that she sat and watched from their bed as the blonde folded their laundry in the way that she liked, she wondered. The times that she cooked something new for dinner to see Beyoncé's reaction, how her smile would widen after the very first bite, she wondered. And the many times that lay in the grass and watched the stars, holding hands in the moonlight, talking aimlessly about the future... she wondered.

She wanted to be like this forever. To be loved like this by someone so secure in themself. To be wanted and to be allowed to shine. To be able to be herself and to not be watered down for someone to love her.
