Fire and Wind hated each other for the longest time... Enemies as a result of nature. They were never meant to be, as nature wouldn't allow it. The flames would pose a risk to the flammable forest and the winds could put out the flame if too powerful.

And yet still insistently did the flame visit the winds.

Time was what brought the two together, their bond growing and their hatred turning to friendship, and friendship into adoration and love.

They've been married for about ten years now. A lot, ain't it? Not to them. Today was their anniversary of being married for ten years now, a whole decade. And yet it's only felt like one for them.

Today's the day. Ten years now had him and I have been together. I never really expected that we'd have gotten this far.. But here we are!

Clenching a bouquet of flowers in my hand, I floated up to the cozy little cottage that belonged to the archer I held closest to me, gently knocking on the door and floating up to surprise him.

When the door opened, I had to suppress a giggle.

“Hello? Hello?? who's there..-”

I peeked my head down, floating upside down and facing him, planting a quick kiss on his lips.

“Hello Windy! How are you doing?” I hummed, gently cupping his face, to which he cupped my own.. His hands were so soft holding my face..

“I'm doing perfect right now.. Thank you for asking, sparks..” Cooed the archer, his eyes softening at the look of me.

I floated down, wrapping my arms around him and hugging him, gently burying my face in the crook of his neck, my wings flapping behind my back. “I missed you so so so much! Happy tenth anniversary to our marriage..” I said softly, not noticing the hearts flickering off my hair.

“It's only been a day.. oh but I know you, you're always so attention needy..” He chuckled, a soft smile spreading along his beautiful face. “Happy tenth anniversary.. I made us something, you know I was getting into crocheting, yes?”

I rolled my eyes playfully, smirking “Yeah, already getting to crotchet grandma age, or I guess grandpa? We don't even have grandkids!” I laughed “Oh and take these before I burn them by accident...” I handed him the flowers, smiling like a dork.

“Hah, yeah yeah.. thank you for the flowers.. Come in won't you? I'll show you what I made us.” He signalled me in, and I humbly accepted the offer of going inside of the comforting home, closing the door behind me.

He fetched a vase, placing the delicate flowers inside of the vase and filling it with water from a bucket. “Oh, I fetched some lake water from nearby to help enrich any plants I own.. it's been helping grow plants and keep them alive longer..” Hummed Wind, setting the flowers down on his kitchen table then heading to the living room.

“You and your love for nature... I admire that about you..” I said quietly, my smile never leaving my face, I could feel myself grinning ear to ear at this point.

“I've always been one for nature, it's in my jam, you know? Here's the gift.. I made sure to use fireproof yarn.. I made us sweaters, and I also got you.. this!” He reached into a basket next to the sweaters and pulled out an orange cloth “Try the sweater on and I'll tie this on you!”
