The bustling streets of New York were alive with energy, even in the early hours of the morning. Y/N found herself in a cozy corner of a quaint coffee shop nursing her second cappuccino of the day. The rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee mingled with the hum of conversation and the soft notes of a jazz tune playing in the background.
It was her sanctuary, a place where she could escape the chaos of her life as a mutant and the heartbreak of her recent breakup with Jean Grey. The memories of their time together were still fresh, like an old wound that hadn't quite healed. But today, something—or rather, someone—else occupied her thoughts. She seemed to be the reason for everything falling apart, but she couldn't help the way she felt about her.
Wanda Maximoff. The Scarlet Witch. The woman who had unwittingly bewitched Y/N's heart.
Y/N had first met Wanda during a mission with the Avengers. There was an instant connection, a spark that neither could ignore. Wanda's piercing green eyes, her enigmatic smile, and the way she carried herself with a mix of strength and vulnerability drew Y/N in like a moth to a flame.
The day Vision ended things with Wanda, Y/N was there for her. The heartbreak was unimaginable for Wanda and Y/N knew she needed to be there for her friend. Jean, of course, protested but it was useless. Y/N left to take care of her friend.
That was the day her relationship with Jean went downhill. The constant arguments caused a bigger seperation between the two each time. It was only a matter of time until someone eventually called it off. Y/N knew she was in the wrong, but Jean didn't trust her, and that made Y/N angry. She would never hurt Jean, but by always putting Wanda first, that is exactly what she ended up doing.
Lost in thought, Y/N didn't notice Wanda entering the coffee shop until she heard the soft chime of the doorbell. Her heart skipped a beat as Wanda's gaze locked onto hers. With a graceful stride, Wanda made her way over to Y/N's table, her presence commanding attention without even trying.
"Mind if I join you?" Wanda asked, her voice a soothing melody.
Y/N's heart raced as she nodded, unable to trust her voice. Wanda took a seat, her eyes never leaving Y/N's. There was an unspoken understanding between them, a connection that words could never fully capture.
"I love this place," Wanda said, glancing around the café. "It feels... peaceful."
"Yeah," Y/N replied, finding her voice. "It's my favorite spot. Helps me clear my head."
Wanda's eyes softened, and she reached across the table, her hand gently covering Y/N's. "I've been thinking about you," she admitted. "A lot. I know you only recently ended things with Jean, but I can't hide what I feel for you anymore."
Y/N's breath caught in her throat. "Wanda, I... I've been thinking about you too. But it's complicated. With everything that's happened, with Jean... I never meant to hurt her the way I did, but you are just so— entoxicating. I can't ignore the way I feel about you either."
Wanda squeezed Y/N's hand reassuringly. "I know it's complicated. But sometimes, the most beautiful things come out of complicated situations."
The warmth of Wanda's touch sent a shiver down Y/N's spine. She looked into Wanda's eyes, searching for answers, for reassurance. What she found was a reflection of her own feelings, a mirrored longing.
"Can we take things slow?" Y/N asked, her voice barely a whisper.
Wanda smiled, a glimmer of hope in her eyes. "I'd like that."
As they sat there, the world outside continued to rush by, but within the walls, time seemed to stand still. The weight of the past began to lift, replaced by the promise of something new, something beautiful. It's as if the once overwhelming memories of Jean were slowing fading from Y/N's mind to create space for new ones with Wanda.

FanfictionVery random stories with Lizzie or Wanda as the main love interest, but there will be twists and turns with different cameos. 😉 🤷🏼♀️ I won't spend much time writing them out, so sorry in advance if the stories are a little all over the place. 😅...
